FfH2 Bug Thread

Patch "x" is linked in the first post. It won't break save games and fixes the following issues:

1. Fixed the animations for donal, paramanders and tuetorix.
2. Fixed an error with the Steal spell.
3. Updated Against the Grey scenario by Nikis-Knight.
4. Fixed an issue with the Tolerant trait that allowed the player to have 2 palaces.

Civ heroes trigger 'we have our reasons' tech trade refusal. (Saw it with Lanun and Iron Working.)

If haven't done pathcing by the letter z, you can start using the Scandinavian alphabet by adding æ, ø and å :p

That would be awesome! No, go for runes. Lot's of the fantasy literature has anyway it's origin in Norse mythology :D

How were you able to determine that a hero was the cause of the refusal to trade a tech, rather than one of the other possible reasons?

Sailor's Dirge spawned on an Ice/Coast square, and all of the surrounding tiles are land or impassable.

I have included a save game of the turn just before the problem occurs. If you watch the research counter at the top of the screen...I am researching "sanitation" I hit enter on the screen with the mouse pointer and click to "end turn" and the research for sanitation goes to 1 turn left from about 15 and the outputs for hammers, gold and research in all of my cities goes to zero. I am hoping this is not some kind of magical surprise attack by someone or something? Run the save and I think you will see what I mean.

BTW please let me know if there is something I can do to work around this or is my game done for now?

That would be the Illian world spell Stasis. You don't produce or research anything for 20 turns. It may say Sanitation (1) at the top, but it will keep saying that for the length of the spell.

you aren't kidding r u? Well there you go. Thanx very much. I'm just DL patch "x" now.:)

I just got a CtD when I gave myself (Decius of the Calabim, in the Mulcarn Reborn scenario) a Stephanos in worldbuilder.

Withered units are unable to heal at all, even though they should be able to heal at a reduced rate. Tried to heal both in neutral and friendly lands, but no dice.

I *was* playing a scenario (Against the Grey), but I don't think this had anything to do with it.

Current game started as patch v, continued as patch x

Playing as Sidar, I first find that attacking civs (incl. barbs) I'm at war with with hidden units, causes them to jump out of the civ's territory. This is probably related to the invisble fixing that has been done, but I think you shouldn't get kicked out when at war.

An other effect with hidden, is that when I join a commander to the unit, it get the commander promo, looses the hidden promo, jumps one tile (only tried in friendly territory) away and the commander stays. But the unit that I cast join commander with, has now a commander attached that I can actually split and hence I can start a commander breeding process with my hidden units.

I got a problem with the UI after my capital generated a great prophet. The city screen of this town does not load, and there is no buttons for controling the units.

when I play as the lluichurp I have problems with Hunter units. The game seems to be unable to find the unit graphic for the info box, consequently the unit can no longer be promoted etc.

Latest patch.

Blood effects for Gorillas are screen-wide.
Paramanders still have the occasional graphical glitch (when one of the group is killed in the animation about 50% of the time they'll just stand there while another runs through them)
Also the heroic strength and defence promotion icons are inconsistant (Defence 1 has a I, defence 2 has II, strength 1 has nothing and strength 2 has a I)
Also the guaranteed eligilibility for the councils with Nox Noctix and Dies Diei hasn't worked for quite some time.

Game has a CTD about 90% of the time when attempting to load Barbarian Assault scenario. I've specifically tried the Luchiurp, but it's crashing when choosing other civs, too.

I too have this problem. All the other scenarios work fine.

I also have the same problem, along with when a Golum cast fireball both it and the fireball are moved one space, this has happened about 4/5 of the times I've cast
