FfH2 Roleplaying Games [Thread III]

And the vampires remained in secrecy to pull the strings, while their massive armies paved the way for Calabim dominance. Being a tyrannical despotism as it was, focused mainly on warfare, and not knowing the ingenuity the cattle may or may not of had to offer. Which is better for the vampires, as they have an eternity to learn secrets for themselves, and wish not to give cattle any more power than is due. However, other nations would be greedy to take upon Calabim land for themselves, and Any good vampires knows they need to protect and expand their feeding grounds. Therefore, Scale-blade of the human-kin vassals, most powerful mortal user of the sword in Calabim lands, raised a giant army of disciplined and dedicated moroi. Occasionally over the course of the wars, some moroi would stray from the path ... but eventually We learned the magiks to keep our kin more in line. Scale-blade knew not of the evils his masters portended, but saw their use of power as divine will, and he their messenger. Therefore he took up the title Bambur- keeper of the earth, as the land is what feeds the people, whom are what feeds the gods of his cult.

The keeper of the Earth volunteered for experimental augmentations, dealing with a Chaos node. At first their were some medical side effects, but eventually his gods cured him. Once he recovered, he was light on his feet, and had a newfound taste for the Flesh of his enemies. He wielded the Hammer of the Earth against the wintery foes, and eventually found a Firey axe on the half-eaten corpse of his latest adversary.

The winter foe was a very tricky one. Calling the divine forces of the ICE, Auric ShadowFlame covered his troops movements in a shadowy blizzard. Eventually Scale-blade, baffled at how troops could appear out of nowhere, named the harsh blizzard the Nox Noctis. The disciplined legions of the Moroi were aided by a young hunter named Uridian, who was the chief scout of the army, and found a large legion of Wintermen marching upon the Svartalphar. Well, Scale-blade could not have the Winter-men expand or plunder, so he led his dutiful Moroi straight to the army ... and with new magicks for his army, he was able to mitigate, finally, the freezing effects of winter which would stall his army. He routed the northern Illian Legion, and retreated back to the homeland, envigorated with organic magics, in time for the Isolated village of Galdur to miraculously find a huge vein of Iron. Scale-blade was also a famous forger, and he organized large teams of smiths to work the new Iron, as soon as it was excavated. Soon he marched with an army 10 fold that which was defeated by the Illians during the Tuskan alliance.

Speaking of the Tuskan alliance, it is very unfortunate of the folly that partook in the era. Scale-blade had several honored meetings with the Titan, leader of the Tuskans, and a wary peace was granted, out of a trust forged with Calabim steel. We made a glorious assault on the Illian capital of Garduk, only to find it enshrouded by a mysterious blizzard, which would not only conceal his armies' movements, but which would slow down our regiments, freezing them in their tracks. Sadly the assault force was cut down to the man, and Scale blade, although looking up to the Titan as an uncle figure, was forced to make a harsh decision. Much Power would be needed to take on the Illians, and while the Power of the Calabim was stagnating, its vaults were overflowing with the treasures of the earth. The backwards technology of the Tusk-men would surely lead to the downfall of the people of the vampires, For the Calabim needed the strategic positioning that would win them the war, and letting half of the land being ruled by the backwards Tuskman would be favorable and just, it would not win the war. Therefore, Scale-blade went about capturing the peoples of the Tuskmen, and giving them command of new leadership. It was unfortunate that Titan immediately vassalized to the Illians, and when he even cheered on the destruction of his people! only because they were under new leadership! The last of the realm of Titan was taken by a furious blood-frenzy of moroi, and quickly the enraged moroi rebelled and captured the city for their own, making Murousbane into their own fiefdom of insanity. Ironically, the fiefdom never fell, and the deranged blood-letters, out of civilized control, turned the place upside its self in eternal anarchy. Some had much fun in the fiefdom, living in luxury, seeing frostlings battle orcs, and the occasional Moroi lord entering the ring and leaving pools of blood in his wake. Their collosiums were grande, but the libraries were burnt. Outside of their little castle, they hung the bodies of their enemies, Illian and Calabim alike.

Back in Calabim territory, Scale-blade assembled a huge workforce to build a Gigantic Statue to remember the trust and alliance they had shared with the Titan, as some penance for the necessary evil of what they had done.

Now, after all the betrayals, all the recruitment, all the experiments, and all the dabbling in magicks, the largest force of Moroi ever to set foot in erebus marches upon the vile Winterborns led by Shadowflame. empowered by Adepts, they were a whole new level of mean than the force that had faced the Illians before. The hasted themselves for a quicker journey, they crossed into the norther forests to flank the illians, and destroy their source of copper, while using rust magics to remove copper from the rest of the Illi forces. The Illian had some tricks for us though. He had mages conjure storms of lightning, and balls of fire, and essentially threw all that they had at us from the shadows of the Noctis Blizzard. They even used the Ice golems and the freezing powder which had worked on us in the past.

Not this time however, infused with powers of the adepts, and blessings from the priests of the earth, a massive battle partook for Garduk.

In the end the calabim was victorious, after losing near half their army, and in celebration and blood-orgy ended up burning the glorious city to the ground.

Meanwhile the rest of the Illi were fighting the clowns, and when the Moroi were properly tended to, and fully rested, Scale-blade marched on Lakis, the last of the Illian cities, and the source of power for the Blizzard of shadows. Scale-blade took the city for the honor of the Calabim, and the Clowns immediately capitulated, for all of their insanity they happend to recognize true power, and respected the Vampyre as such. Then the Godkings of the Calabim nation lived in luxury and prominence, feeding off of the glory and honor that Scale-blade had won for them. The cult of the blood-princes eventually turned into a full fledged religion that took the entire world by storm. Then Alexis looked down from her mighty throne, and laughed that she and her kin were at-last God-Emperors of all Erebus. So much cattle to feed on ..... Muahahahahaha!!!

hehe .... In that particular game I did not use any actual vampires, however. Only Moroi, Adepts, SOK, and Bambur. well, and one hunter with a hawk, whom proved quite useful.

Well there's currently 4 of us, more people would be nice :) (we're starting in 20 mins, but dont mind waiting for more to join)

Just for reference I don't know why you and mukip left, often rehosting with a different person fixes an OOS. You must have some patience to play MP.

Kragroth!? whats going on here? We are GOING to finish that game, you cannot just destroy half of my empire and then call it quits xD

and if you use Corlindale for peace, I will declare the same turn, if not the next turn.

anybody looking for a sunday game? slightly earlier time?!
Sure, why not.

As far as Corindale/Seven Pines, I agree as long as it's not used stupidly. By stupidly I mean "Capture and raze your capitol then use Corindale" or "Use Seven Pines then quit so nobody else can use it".

I'm sorry Tas I had severe lag on my computer and it stopped responding. I'd be happy to finish the game when you're back online.

Well, I am back online now. And I am looking to finish things first.

Bump for

just recruit + temple of Order still work? would be really awesome

It's almost as good coupled with FoL+AncientForests+GuardianOfNature. You can easily hit 30-40 pop with some farms. I believe 60 would be possible if you have the health for it.

Roleplaying games, eh? Sounds awesome. I've just started playing FFH2, but I can already tell that playing against the AI is going to get boring. (No Education or Code of Laws on turn 250, hmm...) And I also can't stand playing against powergamer humans who play for maximum efficiency with no regard for realism.

What kind of settings do you usually pick? I don't think my computer can handle anything larger than a Small map. At least not for Erebus maps. I usually play Small Erebus, High sea level, 9-10 players total.

Either way, I'd like to give this a shot sometime this weekend.
