I have unlocked most of the social sites and upgrades for farms - I'm going for the diplo win, got almost all required comments already... I'm not beelining for tech like you warmongers, there are other strategies ;)

Damn you...! Just as I was about to bring in my army of ass kicking Marines, before letting the Giant Mutant Missile Mech Squid finish you off...

I guess the economic victory is still an option... I've been eating baked beans for weeks now. :satan: What are the current exchange rates?

:deadhorse:

Pyramid won't help you much now. You need to unlock the "scheme" achievement before getting the pyramid. And this requires lots of followers :p

You need to build at least some flowers and sell most of your tech to some noobs. This game is really deep and balanced :)

Coming in with a bang I see. ;)

Welcome to the forums.

these "screenshots" were f'ing hilarious! definitely captures the gist of how some people feel about the quality of our new baby Civ 5

it reminds me of photoshop phriday at somethingawful.com (check out "uneccesary advertisements", that's my favorite)

I'm proud to present... Second civ VI screenshot!

I wonder if Firaxians understand the funny irony or if they consider this great thread " not fair ":lol::lol::lol:

I like the second Civ6 screenshot. Very modern, slick graphics.

OMG I can't find the next turn button! Is this a bug?

No, you have to move every unit, pick research and choose production in all your cities before you can end the turn. Then the screen will look more like the first screenshot, so that new players won't get confused. However, I heard that there were discussions about making the "End of Turn" button a bit bigger so that new players don't accidently click somewhere else.

End turn button appears when necessary and is in full-screen mode.

Fantastic thread.

Threads like these make gaming forums still worth a few minutes every other day.

So now it takes only 4.99$ to end a turn? That's just great.

I think it's actually a very elegant solution to eliminate runaway next turn fests.

I'm probably going to be in trouble for posting this, as I signed an NDA and I'm on the beta team -- but since it's good news, maybe they won't mind.

I've found that this architecture really limits Next Turns. There are games where I probably don't Next Turn more than 5 or 6 times. I've even played games where I don't buy a Next Turn at all.

Now - I did report that I thought $4.99 was a bit high... but that's really just a balancing issue. Maybe Next Turns should just cost $3.99 --- or maybe someone will even mod in a $2.99 next turn (there this one deposed Nigerian prince who has already offered to do so).... but really -- this is a very elegant way to limit Next Turns.

Dude, you are a freakin' GENIUS.

I love the space invader on the tech progress bar... nice touch

Cant wait to preorder! But after spending some time with my grandma, and my one year old niece beta testing, i notice the new interface isnt accessible enough for them.

The first mod i will be working on is to correct the buttons, because they just arent inviting enough.

What's even more incredible, is this latest breaking news.

The Collector's Edition, available in-store only for the low price of $99.99 (much more expensive though in Australia), offers players:
1. A collectible pewter X
2. A collectible pewter O

-Heat them over a fire and brand your friends! :goodjob:
-X's for people who didn't buy the CE
-O's for the cool kids who did
