Flags!

Here is a flag I did for the St. Petersburg Axis in ICNES II. Luckymoose has already used it. Basically, the tristel in the center is a revolving symbol used because of the three branches, for the three original members. The light red color is for Russia, the blue is for Sweden, and the green is for the Ottomans.

Flag for LINES II; it's basically the royal banner of the leader of the Merhai. It didn't come out quite how I wanted it...

IMHO the triskel and all of this mysticism - and the very use of an alliance flag - just isn't 18th century. Then again, it was a time when the Illumanati and the Masons first flourished, so I suppose you might as well do something like that. Still, a triskel?

It looks funny because of the use of a photo for the wolf motif. Had you simplified and stylized it, it would have looked much more flag-like.

Firstly, it's an artic fox. Secondly, I redid it, and it looks rather nicer. Thirdly, there aren't too many pictures of arctic foxes floating around in the right style. :p

What mysticism? I chose the triskel because the alliance is called an axis and the triskel has three branches, and we have three original members. Yes, I know it is kind of odd to have an alliance flag at this point, I just did it for the fun of it (and because I was asked to make it).

What I mean is that a triskel isn't something you usually expect on an 18th century flag, so it seems rather out of place.

hmm just looking for advice here,

but whitch would be a good looking flag for a strong millitary nation named Imperia in the classical era?

Classical era you say? In that case definately the first, crowns of the type in the second would not have existed in the Classical era. Could you possibly give us some more information about the nation? I am guessing it is Roman-esque in culture by the name you give it, but of course I could be wrong.

Background:
Ruled with an iron fist by the High Lord General, Imperia is basically a military dictatorship. The overwhelming force is the army whose loyalty to the General allows him to rule as he pleases. Having outlawed worship and burned down religious places, he has become immensely unpopular amongst the population and only fear of his army keeps the people in check. Whether he will continue this policy or whether he’ll try to improve his image remains to be seen. A difficult time is definitely ahead and astrologers predict that a time of change is rapidly approaching.

thats how Harleqin described it anyway, i'm still forming my own opinions about it, but yeah i consider the people more roman, even if the leader isnt :P

The first. It's much more fascist, which is the image your nation wants to cultivate.

Reading your nation description, no, your nation doesn't want that kind of image. And furthermore, fascists generally create a cult based around the leader and the military, so religion is not generally encouraged, as it distracts from the nationalist image they want to cultivate.
