Ozymandius has had this request for many years, for someone to make him an Arsenal ship. I've always wanted to make one but I've been busy with aircraft. I was finally motivated to try. All the modeling was done in Cinema4D but I always arrange things in Bryce because that is what I am most comfortable in.

768 veticle launch cells. The elevator in the back is large enough for a Seahawk.

 hmm it's really a fantastic ship, but your former battleship project was much better :scan:

His previous fantasy battle ships were based on existing ships and his own take on them. Thus he could pick one which looked cool, double the guns, or whatever.

This one is based on a mildly goofy looking "yet to be built" concept. His take on it is spot on from my perspective. My taste in look and feel has means I highly prefer the early industrial age through the dawn of the modern era. Civil war and WW1 looks much cooler than the newest stuff. But, unless you are making a steampunk scenario, the modern stuff looks like it looks. The game needs new stuff not just cooler looking old stuff.

I think Wyrmshadow has done a very good job on this.

I agree. Beauty, after all, is in the eye of the beholder.

But what really counts is the level of professionalism and love of detail Wyrm puts into every one of his units. His is pure craftsmanship... no, artisanship.

:goodjob: i agree with you in 100%. both ships are great, but i'm commiserate about the fact that wyrm never release his battleship

Errm, you should note that Wyrm works 24/7 minus sleeping time, and he goes down his to-do list. This makes him the most productive creator here, show some patience. ;)

That's cool :)
That model has a lot of detail in there: there are even landing safety nets around the stern landing pad

Of cource. I aim to put this up for sale because I need the cash. More detail means more $$.

This looks absolutely amazing. A shame that most details will only be viewable in the pedia icon, however, it's obviously still better than leaving them out. Maybe they add that last touch that make Wyrm's units so superlative? Whatever it may be, I can't get enough of it, because this looks amazing. Nice job Wyrm!

It is certainly more than a destroyer, or even a missile cruiser. It's role can suffice as a modern capital unit; the hull lines are quite similar to a particular well known class.

A very nice looking ship and another project well done.

There are a few modern speculative battleships that have recently entered the fray, so to speak, and the process alluded to gives rise to some interesting thoughts...

Where to put this in the unit line.........

I intend for it to be its own unit line: I'm basically trying to "funnel" the seagoing AI Civs into winding up with either CVs, SSs, or stealth ships as their primary blue-water weapons platform.
