Just wondering, where all you dot mappers would do with this situation, if you could give me your best ideas and then I can compare them with what I did. Also could you tell me what order you would found these cities. Thanks for any help you can offer.

Checking quickly:

- coastal city south of capitol to grab fish and horse - you can't work the fish from other locations anyway. Can work two scientists for example, or you can later workshop some plains tiles for extra hammers. Or cottage them and work them powered by fish.

- gold city 1S of the gold, gets fresh water from lake and can use corn to work the gold and grow. Has some grasslands for cottaging as well.

- western coast could hold a strong gp farm with four food specials - after CS when you can chainirrigate the wheat it can go up to 8 specialists working four food tiles.

None of the above catches the sheep, but the map doesn't show what else is on the tundra. If there's something nice like furs or silver, you can use the sheep to work those. And the wines.

1SE of crab
1N of pigs
1SW of fish
1W of gold
1SE of corn

a lot of overlap, but the terrain and resource distribution kind of call for it imo

northern terrain:

1W of corn
1S of S gems

need to see more terrain to say more

Okay, so here is what I want to do but don't know if it's so smart. I havent' hit the gold but that pobable is a mistake. My capitol is kickin out workers and settlers so that isn't a problem.
Next city, i pick 2 north of stone. on the northern terrain for production

Next city is two east of the wheat. on southern terrain for a killer gpp farm.

Then 1 north of the northern gem. Just to let you know there is a fish to work there but is darked out on that turn. This is on northern terrain. This would be cottaged and gems mind.

One more city if I can support it and that would be two north of the bronze. this would be cottage. There is also a pig that can be worked but is blacked out.

Are these good moves or no.

You were right and I actually made that my second city and was very valuable. So it doens't really kill you to overlap and it is a pretty good Idea i'm learning.

1 or 2 west of the corn. All that jungle is going to clear into grassland/river heaven. You don't need to worry about the west or the far south yet.
