Foreign submarine in Swedish waters

Is it absolutely sure it's an actual submarine and not a fleet of fish or just one of these false alarms? You know, like the ones that almost didn't turn the Cold War into a thermonuclear disaster?

Wait, the Netherlands have submarines? That's much more shocking than any submarines of whatever origin entering the Baltic sea!

When half your country is below the sea level, it makes sense to do the same thing to your navy.

First photo of the unknown vessel, it has surfaced and is heading at high speed directly at Sweden.

Spoiler :

Well, if we're aiming for examples, how about Whiskey on the Rocks?

Maybe Nessie outraged by the referendum result decided to move to Scandinavia?

This has gotten way too funny. If you are still searching for a submarine a week later you don't understand what you are looking for. If they really want to find it at this point they need to look at the piers in StPetersburg.

I don't think there ever was an expectation of finding anything. Sweden doesn't have the capability. This was more of a chimpanzee display of disapproval. Good to see you're acknowledging the connection to St Petersburg though.

Russian defense ministry made a comment about Swedish operation:
"There are no more chances to find a Russian trace in this story, than Fille and Rulle had a chance to catch Carlsson".

Fille and Rulle are characters from a very popular in Russia kid's book of Swedish writer Astrid Lindgren. They are thieves who were trying to catch Carlsson - a dodgy guy with a propeller on his back.

Oh, i recall what in Swedish version of book some local newspapers was presenting reports about Carllsson as Russian spy satellite. In Soviet adapted version that part was omitted. Great book for sure.

I just love your two postings since you two seems to gave up posting any meaningful information and now you are only joking around.

That's possible. In USSR, books and cartoons for kids usually didn't contain political stuff (pointing finger at evil imperialists or something like that) , so it could be removed in adapted version.

Thats, well, outright incorrect. In USSR there was more than enough politics in children books (pointing fingers directly at evil imperialists pretty much included), just the idea what people in Sweden are generally pretty much into anti-Soviet hystery instead of patiently awaiting for liberation from plutocrats was taken as a bit too off-beat there to publish unadapted. But all of that is not a big story at all, just curious what the Lindgren's Karllson still describing the ongoing stuff pretty well, and different people recall it in connection.

Well, meaningful disclosed information is in Swedish open sources, what is the point to repost it in some game forums? Anyone who care enough about would follow it somewhere at better suited place anyway. But i can stop if you see it as inappropiate.

Pretty funny how he's being a troll about this - indirectly admitting the violation but getting away with it due to Swedish incompetence.

I think we're on the same page here.

Can't remember any which directly refer for example to Americans or NATO or imperialists as adversaries. Well, there were stories of Arkady Gaidar written during and after civil war, where enemies are "bourgeois". May be some subtle references to capitalist countries in Vitaly Gubarev books ("Kingdom of Crooked Mirrors", BTW very good book too), but again, without calling names. In popular spectacles, cartoons, stuff like that, don't remember politics at all.

Actually, they also added that it's impossible to find Russian trace, "because it doesn't exist".
But mentioning a cunning guy with propeller sounds like trolling, yes :)

Just take numerous adventure action books about pioneers vs spies ("Aqualungs on a sea bottom" etc). If thats not enough take some slightly blurred stuff like Nosov's Neznayka etc. And all this skipping internal political affairs (it would be huge in numbers then). Deal is what, well, beside some actually good examples, those books was, er, crap, so mostly forgotten. If you're actually too young to skip USSR days - you could be honestly unaware about them, aswell about many other sides and aspects of it.
