I have to suffer from a strong firewall, so I can't use fileswap programs. Still, I know one can get many free Simpsons episodes, other TV episodes and movies.

I can't imagine that posting links to download copyrighted material that is currently being sold in syndication is OK on these forums, but we'll see what the mods have to say.

Try Kazaa or WinMX if you want to find certain episodes.

Do you have control over the firewall settings? If so, you should be able to open certain ports in order to access file sharing programs. I'm not a real expert on this, but try asking over on the computer talk forum about using file sharing programs while firewalled - they might be able to help you.

No, I the university controls them and blocks everything interesting.

TV episodes, to the best of my knowledge, aren't protected under the same laws as videos are. It's legal, to the best of my knowledge again, to make a tape of a TV show - not of a movie.

Is this the case? It would make sense, as nobody pays for TV (besides cable) anyway. Either way, if anyone does know any of these links please PM or e-mail me. Thanks!
