Freezing smilies

Ok when ever I click on a smiley the animation stops. Like right now I can see the LOL smiley when it is animated but if I click on it all the smilie then it freezes. I thought it was AOL but at school I have high speed internet and they still freeze. I just got a brand new computer thats a big improvment over the old one but they still freeze. Why is that?

I have noticed this too, the similies randomly stop and start moving. I get this for all the moving smilies, but I don't care since I don't like the smilies, and especially the moving ones. We should get of Smilies, but nobody would support that . . .

It gives a wierd effect too. I guess the animations stop because that's just the way the browser works... BTW, I just clicked on an animated smilely, and it didn't stop...

hehe. I just noticed - in Opera, I don't get that weird effect when I highlight a smiley.

I meant get rid of them. i don't like smilies, they annoy me, especially those cursed animated ones.

No, Firefox highlights it cooler. Like a little opacioysly or something... not with ½ of the pixels blue or whatever...

I wonder if anyone got my point here...
