I dont understand how to put pics into the the text box

Your URLs are wrong; for some reason you're putting http://www.civfanatics.com in there twice.

You have to upload them in order to link them into your post. Or the Alternative, attach them to your posts.

Either:

Use the upload feature: scroll to the bottom of this page and below the advertisment you will see a row that has links to eg: Forum Rules, Chat Room, Archive and Upload File. Choose upload file and follow the instructions. You can then link to your pic in the the way RegentMan showed you

Or

Upload the pic as an attachment: choose Go Advanced rather than Post Quick Reply, then below where you type your text, under Additional Options choose Manage Attachments and follow the instructions. You do not have to include urls to show your pictures if you upload them as attachments. If you attach only one picture it will be displayed when you post your message (but not in the preview). If you attach more than one to a post they will be displayed as urls that open in another window.

i tried the help thread i tried asking people and now im just argh!!!
how do you post images without using the attatchment thing cause i see people post pics like this

you can't do that with an attatchment and that just ahh bugs the crap out of me cause i feel so dumb (or maybe i just am dumb)

First go to the bottom of the page, and you will notice (amongst the other buttons) the upload button. Click on it.

In the box that opens you find the image you want to upload in you HD, and then you press the upload button.

Next you search you image amongst the other images in the Upload folder at CFC (Currently Upload Folder 10) and click on it. (OF cource the file that i'm using as an example is not yours)

then you right click on the image that opens and you copy the link of the image to your post.

After that use the [ IMG] [ /IMG] tags (Without the spaces inside the tags) and paste te link between the IMG tags.

That's all there is to it.

I have my profile set to show all threads, but when I search for my posts, it only shows me the most recent 300.

This is of course to not overload server load ... that's where search comes in handy to search via forum, date, thread, etc.

Imagine searching for CurtSiblings' 20000+ posts all at once!

You can see your early posts in a certain forum (or category, like Colisseum, or Civ3) by going to search, selected that category, and choosing "Ascending" instead of Desecending.
