First, you need Beyond the Sword, the latest expansion pack for Civ IV (abbreviated BtS). This usually costs about $29.95. All versions of FfH after 0.23 will run on this expansion rather than vanilla Civ IV. The Beta is version 0.24, which is just an attempt to convert FfH to the BtS. It would be installed in the mods folder within the Beyond the Sword folder instead of the normal mods folder. It still has many bugs to work out, and doesn't have as many features as .23c, the last installment of the "Fire" phase. After that will come the next phase, "Shadow," which will take full advantage of the new capacities that the expansion adds, will improve the Sidar and Svaltafar (and make them playable), introduce more spheres of magic, and add 2 new religions (the Empyrean and the Council of Esus) worshiping the deities of 2 of these spheres (Sun and Shadow).
 
Thanks for your help ! So, I looked at Sid Meier's Civilization IV: Beyond the Sword's page. And i saw at Fan Scenarios about FfH. It's seens to be amazing what Its doing!
Now, FfH is moving to BtS as I could undestand, right? And there is a lot to do about bugs and other things to improve it. Is there any place that i could see about this new version? Like history or some else. At Sid Meier's Civilization IV: Beyond the Sword's page mentionated about Age of Ice. Seens to be a interesting history. But I was wondering about Armagedon counter, Good and Evil, destroing or saving the world. All this Will be present at this new version 0.24 ? Thanks for patience !
 
Are there specific FfH 2 scenarios worth downloading? I got the mod and love it so far (only played 2 games through).

I have a little question about the Luonnotar unit.

FFH2Wiki says : "Must be upgraded from LV6+ unit."

Ok. I'm playing Grigori, and victory seems to be theoretically mine. I have some lvl 6+ units. Upgrade did work with a military unit, but seems not to be an option with a lvl 6 Mercenary (nation revealed) or any Mages I've got (4 lvls 9+...). I only did 1 upgrade, so there's still room for 2 more... I really don't understand, now.
Any help would be much appreciated !

Not every unit can upgrade to every higher unit.
For example only melee units can upgrade to immortals.

Is there a map editor for CivIV ? Because I only can make modifications on map only when I start a game. So, I saved this map but when I look to play as a scenario, the number of players is limited. It's the same as the game I started and modified before. Is there another way to make a scenario ? Thanks !
 
Well I wrote that because the lunnotor are disciple units and you tried to upgrade mage/melee units into them. And there aren't that many units that can change their unit class.
Since the lunnotor replace inquisitors following units can be upgraded into them (dont ask me how you should get most of them): the lvl1 religios units, all priests, prophets, scouts,grigori medics, adventueres, grigori pikemen,dragonslayer.
 
I just downloaded the mod from the top link on the first page and have placed the Mod under the Mod folder in my CivIV directory but for some reason, both loading the mod in game and by using the link in the FFH File, past the initial Loading pop up on the desktop the game does not load.

Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong so I can play?
 
Hi all, first post. This is possibly a dumb question, but I haven't been able to find anything using the search function so here goes; I'm running version 0.23 with the latest patch, but I don't seem to be able to summon the Hyborem. Every time I research infernal pact I don't get the option to switch to them, and they don't appear on the map. I've ensured each time that the number of civilizations is not at its maximum and nobody else has researched IP, but in all the games I've tried, they don't appear at all. Any ideas? (Apologies in advance if this is something blindingly obvious.)
 
any chance the Armageddon Counter is really high and did the hellfire event? only thing i can think of that could possibly affect it.

if youre certain you did 16 or less civs and that no one else researched it without you knowing, then i cant think of why it wouldn't work.. have you tried again in a separate game to see if its a one time thing?

maybe you've mixed up Corruption of Spirit with Infernal Pact? the second one is the one you need, though it used to be the opposite way around.
 
Hi, this is my first post here. Anyway, I just wanted to ask help for an extremely annoying problem. I have version 1.61 of vanilla Civ 4, and I've downloaded the latest Fall from heaven. When i load the mod, everything is working fine. Then, when i click PLAY NOW, everything seems fine. But when i actually start the game, all it shows is a screen that says THE AGE OF ICE HAS ENDED.... and then it crashes. Extremely annoying. Please, can anyone answer this problem?

The Age of Ice is for Beyond the Sword, not Civ Vanilla. You are looking for the Fall from Heaven II mod, version 23c I believe.
 
Fall From Heaven 2. Thats what i have. version 23c. The Age of Ice thing is just the loading screen for a game, i believe. Like spock narrarating the start of the world in vanilla civ.
 
Help!!!

Im trying to get FFH2 from game flood but it is not working. Is there anywhere else i can dowload FFH2 version 0.23c?

I hate game flood, inspite of beeing fast.
 
1. Again, playing as Bannor my guys are Magic Resistant. I can understand selecting the promotions for Fire and Poison Resistance, but what units can cause Lightning and Cold damage that I need those resistances?
Archmages with Air III (Maelstrom) hurt by lightning.
Maybe later spells will work by cold.
 
2. One of my cities is showing those unhappy green faces...From Features. What does this mean? I do have two floodplains (with farms) within the city's borders, but wouldn't that say "From Floodplains." What are Features? If they are floodplains, are there any other features besides those that would affect my cities' health?
I find, a blacksmith will affect it quite early. Overpopulation without theater etc. as well.
