is there a way (edting or whatever) to set game to play with fixable borders? (I don't know if I set the checkmark for no fixes borders by mistake in setup, but my mil units can't declore a field for their civ.) and/or where I can find it in worldbuilder's sav?

and:
what means "WhiteFlag=0" for a civ?
several civs have this with "0" and other with "1"

able to claim land is a civic based tool. Monarchy and couple of others, in civopedia, under fixed borders.
yes, so I play regulary, but in this game I don't have this feature (or I do't fnd find it).
Because that I want to check somewhere, if I accidentially set the checkmark for "no fixed borders" in game settings before I created the scenario. (it should be somewhere to read in the sav of worldbuilder, if it is enabed like default or not.)

Edit
ok, found it. Its for Despotismus and Monarchy only. The information line related in German is little misunderstandable and I didn't realize that this is that feature.

I think it is general misconception in the game and far away from reality. Borders of a country always had been set by wapons, military, power, totally independent from cultural borders, made because a peace treade or commercvial interests or geostrategic. This always have been independent rom the question wat political system the winners or most powerful acteurs had. Democracy does not reflect cultural borders.

White flag, = corruption of files

Not sure about the 0 or 1, others might remember, never struck it.
this is confusing, because several civs with flag playable as well as civs w/o this flag have the White flag = 1, while other (also my faction) have White flag = 0

Why is it that you can build an industry in the Tundra, but you can't build a workshop.

Both have -1 :food:, both have bonuses with transport links.

Workshop is health Neutral.
Industry is + 1:yuck:
Industrial complex is +2:yuck: (I assume can build on tundra, not that far yet.)

Solution - Allow workshops on Tundra tiles. (Omission or feature??)

Dreifels, please stop using this thread. Use the bug thread instead for this kind of problems. Thank you.

sorry, believed it's not a bug but my stupidity, so here the right place.

similar problem with windmills
before electricity they give 2 food, then 1 only, and there is no other building with that you can it compensate.

let the food unchanged and later split windmills to a special one for energy and the other for food, if you can't add a compensating food building.

Improvements are being reworked by Vokarya. Yields will change when he's finished.

Besides, I believe that the -1 :food: once you discover Electricity is justified, as windmills are being converted to produce electricity as opposed to producing food. Besides, in the Industrial Era, you wouldn't produce food with windmills anymore, anyway.

Although, I feel that it perhaps should be pushed further in the tech tree - somewhere at the end of Industrial Era and the start of Modern Era? Perhaps with Electronics? I feel that Electricity's too early for such a change.

Hello,

is there any way I can switch off a "Dark Age" event, caused by volcano activity? It really, really ruins my game. Change something in xml, maybe?

No, once it started you have to wait for it to end after some turns. If you play with No Events option, it shouldn't start at all.

I have savegave few turns before the event. I'll try to switch on No Events and see what happens.

Thanks for the help!

Nope, it doesn't seem to work. Turned on No Events, edited volcano events in XML files - and Dark Age appears nevertheless.

Unfortunately I think selecting No Events only works at the start of the game.

The link I've provided works correctly, no 404 (just tested); it's a login page.

yes, now I get the login page, maybe it was temporarily.

Edit
but just now after put in username + pw, then I get a 404

see screenshot

Edit 2
I empty browser cache, use firefox for https://www.transifex.com/civ-a-new-dawn/
I get https://www.transifex.com/signin/?next=/civ-a-new-dawn/
I type in username + pw
I get https://www.transifex.com/civ-a-new-dawn/ and 404

(something like that I have often with login at Google as Google wants to store something, a super-cookie or such, that my Firefox settings do not allow. But I have BetterPrivacy and AdblockPlus installed only)

Edit 3
I can login at https://www.transifex.com/home/ fine, but then I'm lost because when I click on "join an existing organziation" and search for a-new-dawn I get

Civ IV: A New Dawn (main strings)
Civ IV: A New Dawn (Civilopedia)
Civ IV: A New Dawn (modules)

when I choose main strings / German I come to https://www.transifex.com/civ-a-new-dawn/and-main-mod/language/de/
and then I need instruction what to do and how.
OK, I joined but this looks like AND and not AND2, or is it the same?

w/o instruction I have no idea whast to do now.
