Today I was working with Fidel, the excellent carpenter on our project. He's building a place for the toaster oven and microwave behind the bar. In the process he had to remove some rusty nails that were sticking out of the wood between 1/2" to 3/4". We all know how to remove em, right? Put the claw of your hammer to the job and fight em until they break loose and come out, or at least that's what I thought. I spent many years doing carpentry, but today I learned a new trick. Fidel drove them in 1/8th inch or so, then yanked them out with the claw of the hammer. By driving them in it breaks the hold caused by the rust a lot easier than fighting em. Out they come with no effort, comparatively.

Doh. Why didn't I think of that?

Got any?

Go Fidel  I'm gonna remember that one.

I like this thread. I don't have any off the top of my head.

Always open Doritos from the bottom. That way, the excess topping dust will slowly filter down through the bag as you eat it.

The new fangled perforated pizza boxes, that turns the lid into plates and the bottom into a smaller foldable storage container ... where have you been all our lives???

Spoiler :
Also, spoons for salted nuts, but you can easily accidentally plow down a 5-lb. bag that way without even noticing.
