Some of you already know the situation when you have to choose wich way you'll follow in your life. I'm speaking about the choise of profession. For some of you it wasn't a serious problem - you might be interested in one-single thing, computers, military service, or whatever; but I'm sure there are some CFC members that considered the question of their future profession to be very hard or nearly impossible - it might be too difficult to choose one subject from many others. So, I am to make such a choise now. And it's very problematic for me.

Today, a representative of the Moscow FSS Academy visited our classes and offered us to enter that academy.
For those who doesn't know what the hell is FSS, I'll say that FSS is "Federal Security Service" it's just like FBI or KGB :) ( actually, it is a descendant organization of KGB). Don't know why, but everything he said impressed me greatly (or perhaps they are taught there how to convince people ;) ). Well, I was going to enter our local state university, but I've always tried to enter some Moscow high-schools. Yesterday I found out that some of the universities I was planning to enter have already finished examining students, so I've understood I was late... FSS seems to be the only chance left...
Well, I know it's up to me to choose, but what would you do if you were me?

I'll enumerate here some disadvantages and merits of FSS Academy:

+High scholarships:goodjob:
+Good professions - information security and cryptography:D
+Living far from parents - freedom!
+Free living and services
+100% guarranteed work (It's not hard to guess what kind of work it will be ;))
+Military ranking
+Avoiding conscription
+Gyms, pools, etc...
+FSS work corresponds to my private "moral code"

-High discipline
-Going abroad is forbidded during five years of education plus five years after I graduate
-It's very hard to enter the FSS Academy. For me it will be even harder, because I've got some problems with health. :(

Advice me something!!!:)

You'll probably be an analyst, BiFrost. The overwhelming majority of CIA agents are behind a desk the whole day.

Personally, I would never do it. To commit 10 years minimum of your life to an organization is a serious matter. Keep in mind that these are your 'best' years at that. You are giving up a tremendous amount of freedom for a few amenities. Don't underestimate your freedom (especially as a youth) to wander around where you want to, and to change your mind for no particular reason.

Finally, if you want to get away from your parents, go to St. Petersburg for university! (I'm assuming you live in Moscow, but I could be wrong)

You want to, I see that

Yes, I do. My parents don't. :(
Besides it is very hard to enter the academy: only 12.5% of those who want to enter, manage to pass the exams.
