Hi everyone,

I'm in the process of moving up to Prince from Noble and this is one of the last games I played. Didn't realize how well I would do with it, and I decided since I miraculously had the original save I would post it here as a World Builder file and pose a "challenge".

CHALLENGE: I want to see how quickly this map can be won.

This map will probably scare people off because it is on Noble difficulty and Epic speed, but I'm a VERY slow player and it only took me 4 hrs. Most people should be finished this game in an hour or two. I hope someone will take me up on this "challenge" and show me how it's done.

Here's the start:

Here's the settings:

I realize that you can't tell from the settings who the leader is. You are playing as Ramesses II, but that should also be somewhat obvious from the WB save, lol.

My win:
Spoiler :

I was able to pull off a 1250AD Dom victory. I know you guys can do better.

I was playing silly.

Spoiler :
1060AD Domination

Warrior choked/rushed pacal by 2200BC. Chariot spam for Boudica (300BC-ish, rest shortly after another), BK, and Augustus. Had to throw in some axemen for Alexander. Never capped Cathy, decided to spam settlers around 700 AD instead.

This didn't feel serious enough to be a challenge, although I suppose you can do much better if you don't waste worker turns and use them to road to your victims while you prep.

Spoiler :
Oh there never was really a challenge to this. I randomly rolled this map, and went with it. As soon as I popped a second city, saw horses, I went on a chariot rush and was able to wipe out everyone but Rome and Burger King. Cathy of course was off on her island. I had to build up and then stomp on Rome, although he proved more difficult than I imagined. Once I wiped him off the map, I rebuilt my army, and went after BK, once he was capitulated a Dom victory was easy. I just wanted to see what the quickest victory someone could get from this.

BC conquest possible on this map

Spoiler :
Playing this for fun, but I failed to notice it was Fractal - thought it was Pangaea. So I'm hunting around forever for Cathy after wiping out the AIs on the land mass. Turns out I need sailing and an armada of galleys. Still have a chance to take Cathy in the BCs, I think. Ha...I thought I was going to have like a circa 1800BC conquest victory.

Not sure if Dom is possible in the BCs by just rush settling the landmass/grabbing AI cities. I've never been fully versed on the mechanics of Dom, especially the land calcs. My mistake here was keeping all the AI caps - a lot of them were crap and it probably hurt conquest more than helped it.. Boudi's was the best and most useful.

Spoiler :

I'm not surprised a BC victory is possible, the map was much smaller than I had anticipated. It shows that I still have more to learn, but with suggestions, I am going to jump up to Monarch to see how I do. Perhaps I shall learn from my mistakes this way.
