Funniest Thing the Computer has Said?

i dont know if this has been said before but this is right after i asked lincoln for a loan of gold.

I like the All hat and no cattle thing lincoln says when you demand tribute. It makes him seem like a hillbilly.

Just a thought, but shouldn't this whole thread be under discussions instead of stories and tales.

I was playing against the Mongols recently and struck a deal with Genghis Kahn. He replied with

"It was a pleasure speaking with you. Odd, since you are so far inferior, but personality does go a long way."

Once I was in the Rise of Rome scenario, I was going to send my 2nd war declaration to the Goths, and the foreign advisor says, "Arminius has betrayed our friends the Celts.

I was at war with the Celts for almost the entire game till they died. We killed them.

Well, thats quite a bump....almost a year exactly...
Well, Tiptronic is new. These boards go slower than some others, so he might not have known not to reply to old threads. My first week on the board someone chewed me out for bumping a thread that was, IIRC, only three months old--hardly a dinosaur--so I think CivFan might be a little stricter about this than many other boards.

Welcome to CivFans, Tiptonic!

Well, you're allowed to bump threads if you're adding quality to the thread, which I will do right now-

I once had Arminius give me a nice lecture on making deals.

'Make sure you eat well before your meal, so when you arrive you have time to talk instead of eating.'
Something like that. I don't have a screenshot.

Very sorry for bumping an old thread but:

One time I opened diplomacy with Mao and I clicked "Will you accept this proposal?" when the advisor was "Insulted by this deal" and Mao goes,

"I would eat dung before accepting such a contemptible offer"

"Never! I wouldn't give you a cup of water if you were drowning in the desert!!!!"

lol!! I almost tipped my chair over at that second comment!

Yes.

Introducing Tickle Me Mao!!! The new thing hitting stores near you 7.29.06! He says, "I wouldn't give you a cup of water if you were drowning in the desert!" and "I would rather eat dung than listen to your proposal!"

Buy this stupid idiot for 9.95!

but wait! if you call within 30 minutes, we'll give you Whack-a-Shaka set absolutely free!

anyways back on topic: it's probly been said already, but Cleo said "your men near *city name* is stealing chicken and annoying our women, remove them please"

Why would you steal a chicken? I mean seriously. They should take the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch.

Speaking in which, I was playing one time, and Ceaser tried to get me to pay him 50 gold with the threat of "If you do not accept, we will be forced to destroy you with the Holy Hand Grenade." seriously.

Let us join forces and conquer the world, then turn on one another like the rabid dogs we truly are!

-Kublai Khan. Civ 4, but I just thought we should keep this from getting off topic.

I see this quote quite often.

A new accessory for Tickle Me Mao! Dung-on-a-string! Put it in his mouth and he'll say, "I am eating dung. I will not accept!"
