Every credible college in the us has a web domain (e.g., virginia.edu) and then the emails are just stuff@virginia.edu.

In the US and not only. In fact, mine seems to have it's system for quite some time now, it's username@fep.up.pt, and so do other faculties within UP, like the engineering it's @feup.up.pt or the medicine is @fmup.up.pt. It's also the one I get the most mail, I must average some 5 or 6 messages a day, and it's all within the college, no one trying to sell me viagra there.

I thought everyone had several accounts, at least I thought so because I feel that mostly wouldn't want to be giving out personal mails on the internet or using weird nicknames with people you know irl. Plus it's also required if you're planning on having several accounts in different places like PSN or Youtube.

The episode "Viva Ned Flanders" predated The Hangover by a decade, but they really don't have much in common besides featuring common Las Vegas tropes.
