Funny Screenshots: Part Deux

1) Whoa... good thing I got the Great Wall... (funny thing is, they just kept going in and out of the city, never attacking my sword.)
2) The odd one out.
3) Oh come on!
4) Talk about a culture crush...
5) Napoleon at his most typical (he started it). Even someone with the same religion as him DOW'ed. (Small 18 civs Pangaea map)
6) Mmhmm? Big deal? (Forest fire). This was a teams game, by the way... me and Augustus (AI) vs. 5 teams of 3 and an odd one out.

Was that supposed to be funny haha or funny odd? I can't tell.

The 2nd, 3rd, and 5th ones I meant to be funny, but I have no sense of humor.

The others are just strange coincidences.

I almost feel guilty about this start. I am playing as Hannibal, and later on I got black pearls on the clams, and the +1 C medicine event on a riverside grassland. I think I teched Engineering in 7 turns with my slider on 40% and only 4 cities.

Oh wow... barbs must have done some serious scout busting...

Later turned out my neighbors were Sury, Toku, SB, and Monty. Ouch. I am hanging on for dear life at the moment, but 3rd in score.

You've got horses out there. Numidians will win you a world.

I was running +100% research up to about 1000 AD or so. Then I started building an army like crazy. Plus, Golden age+Colossus gave me :eek:5:eek: gold on each tile, and I had a 45 turn one from the Taj.

MAetzu, want me to post a save?

Was that WB'd? I have seen gold resources come in two-in-a-row veins, but never three or even four gold resources! But man, you can't go wrong from a start like that!

Nope. No WB used, otherwise I would have deleted my neighbors (Monty, Toku, Sitting, Sury). Besides, luxury resources are generally clumped. I have seen 6 gold within 1 city radius before. Once, Wang Kon managed to found 4 religions on an island with 3 cities. Why? He had 8 wines in his capital.

More from my latest game... I have taken a liking to Hannibal as a leader...

1. Degaulle... my entire army is massed in Paris... on your borders. You have 1 city. No Iron. I am way ahead of you in techs. You declare war... to capture one effing worker?

2. Ok, and now your only military resource has been destroyed by a random event. Bye bye you :nono::nono::nono::nono::nono:

3. Pangaea. Not happyland.
Civ4ScreenShot0050.JPG
4. Wow, Gandhi, good job! I have just gained some respect for you! Maybe I will not kill you after all, because I got 7 'and Indian spy has been captured' messages in the last 5 turns.

PS. Here's the save from the game I had with the gold.

OK, people, let's cross the inpassible mountains and found a new city, eh, wait a moment, they're INPASSIBLE!

Well, I knew barbarians could get holy city's, but this is quite, err, new to me.

OK, you build a pasture, you build a fence, a fence is meant to contain something, isn't it???

I'll take it.

Just one this time.

1) Now that's just depressing...

Renaissance start. Besides, Hannibal was rubbing up to me down south, so I wanted to take him out as fast as possible, and therefore was trying to get military techs.

The same random event on the same turn... somehow both Ragnar and I are the world's #1 tin producer.

Maybe your tin deposits are bigger, & replaced the Viking discovery.

Maybe the "world" definition used for each announcement didn't mean "the entire planet", but rather "the known world for the civ attaining the achievement".
