How did you manage to pi... upset everyone except the Iroquois, who, in my experience, are a little bit like Tokugawa is in every game?

And did you start as minor civs?

And slightly related (to LoR, I couldn't actually find a thread where I cold ask this, sorry for the OT... how do the 'first impressions' work when starting as minor civs?)

I did do start as minors (first time trying it, very interesting). Dont remember how that first impression thing worked out. I dont really know how i got the Iroquois to like me, earlier they were stronger and demanded some stuff. I gifted them oil for a while because they were fighting the dutch Juggernaut.

Everyone might hate me because i never joined in any of their wars, most of the people left are former barbs that settled down (that whole big island with the inca and the island with Arabia were both uninhabited at the game start) and they were forever asking me to join in one dumb little war after another, asking for handouts, etc etc.

And after a point i stop caring about them because they are of no consequence at all, so i pretty much ignore them, which they dont seem to like.

I dont know what mod put in start as minors, probably Revolutions, so you might go over to that subforum, or in the RevDCM page.

Ok, maybe its only funny to me but....I just rolled this start, I was originally 1 tile North but decided to move down and see if I get lucky, I think I did

Then 2 turns later I got Bronze Working from a Goodie hut, and then a few turns after popped iron working from another hut!

I think I might just restart lol.

About the autosave, I did have it and now, well I can't find it. Apparently if you play another game is overwrites the autosaves for previous games?

If you settle on the plains hill north of the mountain, then you can farm everything (including the marble), and with Biology, you will be 1 short to mine all of those gold deposits

Alternatively, split it into two smaller science cities, and you can work 8 gold deposits, and not have to wait until Biology >.>

Maths: Each plains can yield 3 , the city tile yields 3 , the floodplains yields 5, the grassland yields 5. There are 6 plains, 1 grassland, 1 floodplains, and 1 city tile, for 29 total. You need 8 population to work those tiles, which takes up 16 food, leaving you with 13 food. There are 7 gold deposits in range, which absorbs 14 food, so you are one food short.

I bet you wish you were Khmer right now, huh? (Baray will give you that 1 you need... if you want to wait )

Every food source but 1 clams and 1 fish can be borrowed early Definitely a great start

More likely: suleiman settles on a gold (ai was never good at settling), and then expands around the site. I have to pry it from his cold, dead hands and by then the site doesn't matter anymore.
In short: I'm really far from that site
