How can Chichen Itza now be a Japanese city if the Japanese are at the other end of the continent?

Wa-wait, what?!

Mobile Artillery while researching Nationalism? Seems someone cheated here ;)

he could have missed nationalism out...

With 350 research? Nah.
And I can't spot skyscrapers at the lower border of the screen.
EDIT: Never mind, that's not a city. It's a mine.
But it still proves my point - it hasn't got the Modern Era artwork.

Uh, Mansa, I strongly recommend you to change that tile improvement.

Re: 5051. I have seen some AI workshop just about every square (though it was all flood plains), maybe it really needed hammers.

Chichen Itza was probably taken by Barbs. Then Toku got lucky and happened to have his Warrior nearby to take it from the Barbs.

No garrison. More likely it's war booty.

It's only his capital--not some super important city he's had for a long time. I'm sure he'll eventually get to it. Of course, maybe he hasn't researched Irrigation yet.

Uh-oh... You caught me red-handed. :mischief:

Yes, I used World Builder to spawn Mobile Artilllery. I'm not that good at military strategy in Civ4 (or any other strategy game in that matter).

In fact its a special trick that no human player has ever mastered to date.
1. Build farm -> harvest it
2. Build windmill -> mill it
3. Build workshop -> bake it

He has irrigation, and you can place farms on top of wheat/rice/corn resources without irrigation ;)
Daft Mansa, he put his capital in starvation by doing that <.<
Strange enough, once he got to communism and adopted SP, all those workshops were gone.

If only he had a windmill...
Nfw, I think someone will have to chop to get any settlers out...
And Saladin is in dire need of Biology. Care to world-builder it in?

...hither came Musa the Cimmerian, black-haired, sullen-eyed, sword in hand, a thief, a reaver, a slayer, with gigantic melancholies and gigantic mirth, to tread the jeweled thrones of the Earth under his sandalled feet.
