LOL nice screens :) (loved the one from Germany's no man's land)

Man, the patience you have! (you seem still so far away from 2050!!)

Aren't you in danger of reaching Dom territory limit? (oh maybe you gift a city if you come too close)

Thx for your post.

Yes, not winning is actually harder then winning, and I'm quite sure that this will be the last Marathon time victory that I'll play for a loooooooooong time :crazyeye: .

I've been in danger of reaching the Dom limit for a lot of time already but my empire seems to be stable at 62.59% now. Note that that is only 13 tiles from the domination limit which is 64% because I chose minimum # of AIs to be able to found the 160+ cities that you see. The only "real error" I've made was building the Hit-Wonders all in 1 city, because that city produces so many culture and takes up so much space that I could have had 4-5 cities instead of it, but as it's the Sushi + Mining HQ, I don't want to give it away.

I've got another screenshot for you btw., proving the power of the Rathhaus as a unique building:

Having a positive GNP at 0% Gold and 130% inflation :rotfl: .

German Spies rock even more!

(In case this is hard to see: On the last 2 screens, german spies destroyed a building. They did that, with me having 1 Spy-Unit on every tile that belongs to my territory and the amount of Spies that was additionally stationed in Nottingham is also quite mentionable...)

Wow. much wow. Got lotsa time on yar hands, serial. Sly, thats marathon near the end. :nuke:

My name writes "Seraiel and that game was a HoF time victory so I had to play until 2050 AD.

I actually would have won the game somewhere near T700, but then had to be very careful not to win the remaining 800T and I got some very nice screenshots which I had thought would produce more reactions.

Maybe I'll post some screens of the units I built in that round for the fun, it were so many in the end that that they wouldn't fit on one screen even with 1080p :rotfl: . I wasn't sure that CIV / a todays PC could handle such amounts, that's why I spread them out over all cities. What you could see on the last screens (the ones showing the spies) is only 1/20 cities that looks like that  .

Perhaps it is because the thread is titled "funny screen shots" which is why you are not eliciting more of a commentary. If I might make a respectful suggestion, maybe moving your slide show of deity expertise to a more fitting thread (or simply creating a new thread) would allow you to gather the input your looking for?

Quite impressive though, kudo's.

How does having 1 spy on every tile have to do anything with expertise and is not funny? :hmm:

I feel like this isn't supposed to happen

Obviously they're on the Obama Care website trying to sign up :wow:... JK

What's even more funny is that it looks like you've discovered uranium in 1635 AD. Kudo's to your Bulb Heads good Sir :D

It's a known bug when swapping units of different categories. It's simply the biggest number that the game engine can take IIRC.

Back in the day when this thread was young, there were lots of posts with the number of turns display bug.

What mod are you playing?
What is the skull at St John?
and by all the civs?

RFC DoC (Dawn of Civilization)

The skull is the figurative representation of plague that kills one pop per turn until it worns out. Units get half health.
Plagues are scripted in three waves to represent historical ones. Through OB and proximity, everyone got at least one city infected.

You sure that's DoC and not regular RFC?

It's gotta be vanilla RFC because those are all the standard Civs and there are no dynamic Civ names like Kingdom of France, Republic of Brazil, etc.

Yeah, this was vanilla RFC. I've had this bug happen once before in a game with no mods, but didn't screen-cap it.
I think it was on Viceroy (lowest RFC difficulty setting), which explains the huge tech lead I had.

I was going to play a Fractal map but misclicked and what was going to be a Fractal map became a Hub, as Suleiman. High hammer, poor commerce start, stone, lots of forests, so I spammed GW, SH, Mids and GLH because all else I could have done in the meantime was bankrupt myself settling and nobody else built them. Those trade routes and settled Priests and Spies are doing a good job pretending I have an economy. Without a neighbor, barbs, copper, Archery, my military is nonexistant... And Ragnar has been plotting for a while (and is probably gonna target my undefended blocking fishing villages rather his WE WK), I decide to scout for his army. Um, if that's it, I'm not very afraid even with not a single warrior in that area :p So I check again, he's still plotting. What is he doing?
