A week since the last screenshot? Hmm...

Must be some powerful bananas. Or maybe he has some ulterior motive. I don't know. My guess is judging by the eyes, he is not on planet Earth right now.

Monty: So what do you have to trade?
You: Uh... Bananas

Going back to the long tradition of funny Aquaducts, Churches in Padocks and Aquaducts going into mines, I present you with a Church in a sheep paddack that gets water (or gold?) from a mine:

There's a parable in this somewhere. Something about going after the stray sheep... :jesus:

Happiness is ...

Spoiler :

Someone else finishing the Hagia Sophia
Spoiler :
I was about to start it in a second city to get the fail gold.

Fractal maps sometimes have odd results:

Spoiler :

That barb's not going away unless I launch an amphibious assault, but Willie's swordsman has been keeping an eye on him for ages. Maybe he thinks it's Civ II where you could actually cross mountains.

Plains cow? I raise you, plains hill deer.

I'd use WB to get rid of it to stop the warning message.

The tile is now in my cultural boarders. I'm going to capture the GW from HC and see where the barb gets teleported to.

Today I got some surprise move from barbarians :D
Spoiler :

Barb city was in the middle of this island... and than I see.. what? barbs unload 2 archers right on iron mine... never seen that move using galleys as transport

Cool, this is almost like the CIV II sea barbarians. Very annoying, but "pirates" would be interesting in Civ IV as well.

One barb question: Do all barb cities expand to BFC after some time (only very slowly) or is this conditioned by something else?

Yes indeed!

Barb cities can/will eventually build monuments; then collect culture/boarder pops as normal cities.

Ugh, I don't miss those guys at all. They were realistic (Egyptians' problem with the "Sea Peoples", etc.) but man did I hate those guys.

Sometimes the barbs manage to capture the AI city with the Stonehenge.
And from a replay I've noticed that the effect is global.
In the picture below my only neighbour (Joao) lost his capital with the Stonehenge to the barbs.
So I let Lisbon to the barbs to annoy all other civs with barbarian culture.

Spoiler :

Tatran, I felt like screaming "down in front" to your world wonders info screen.

BTW, it doesn't show Stonehenge. Might it be the wrong screenshot?

That picture is a bit of a failure.
The connection between barbarian culture + they owning the Stonehenge isn't clear.

And yes, I have a wonder addiction. The best result at Emperor : building all wonders except one.

Ref. post 7668. I captured the GW, and the barb actually managed to find a neutral tile to teleport to.

Spoiler :

Would he have vanished if there were no neutral tiles on the map?
