I don't get #1.

The pics don't show for me.

i think it's the jungle on the peaks...

I've seen that happen in a game where the world builder has been used to create the game you're playing. Either the player altered the map with the world builder, or they are playing a map that someone has used the world builder to create a particular scenario. The standard map scripts don't put forest or jungle on mountains as far as I know. I've seen it in GOTM's though where of course, the maps have been played with by the moderator :)

Trees on mountains?

How did you get #3? What difficulty is that?

The Earth 1000AD scenario starts with Oracle buildable, and various civs with various techs. So if you jump at the oracle and get it, you get quite a nice flying start with a big free tech. You can do it even on the higher difficulty levels with this scenario.

I've managed a Civil Service sling shot (Civ Service free) from the oracle from an ancient start too, but only on the lower difficulty levels.

Ah-ah-ah! Not the best! If you play as Japan you can build the Oracle in Osaka and use your workers to chop the forests/build mines there. Then, you can Oracle Liberalism.

Nope. That is a standard-generation map. Great Plains I believe. I remember it clearly.

I have had the option to do that, but it's not too exciting, as Oracling Nat or something to Lib Constitution, Chemistry, or (if you're quick and lucky) MT or Steel. Even better would be to Oracle Steel and Lib SP or AL. But that seems almost impossible.

I've libbed Assembly Line before...

I've seen forest on mountains before in games where WB was never used. It kept being burnt down, though.
