On the one hand that is a tad close. On the other hand it makes them a prime target for an early rush which could get you a second city before it is normally possible in C2C (since I expect that is the C2C mod, unless it's R2R). (Although doing it too early could seriously damage your economy.)

Thus why the barbarian uprisings are along with Bermuda triangle the only events I have disabled. I love events. I hate auto lose events.

I'm in a pbem that has events on and the game VA'd us. A civ beside me reported the issue and thought it was game over for him. However, they didn't head his way - they headed my way. Lucky for me I had decided to play this game very aggressively ... so I had a few units waiting.
