Twin cities. Since they settled after me, though, I maintain that they're the unoriginal copycats. :p

In RFC the minimum city distance is set to 1 tile; not the 2 tiles of the standard game. Even so, you can go to the "GlobalDefines.xml" file & change the minimum city distance--this is particularly useful for those who like Earth maps & would like to play them with many cities (even the GEMs--Giant Earth Maps--benefit from the reduced minimum distance).

As for this one - this was a different game - I've seen a unit with 0.0 strength before ans still alive and I can figure out why, but this...? If someone can tell me how this happened, I will learn something:
What is the issue? If you are refering to the 0.0/1 movement ... you have BUG's fractional movement display enabled and it is showing that the unit has no movement points left. If it had moved 1 square on a road after engineering it would show 0.7/1 movement points left (ie 1 out of 3).

That's not what's weird- what's weird is that the infantry still seems to be able to move.

hmm - must be the railroads coming into play ... maybe 0.04 movement points left? Not sure how that would work unless someone tweaked something.

Rounding. It's <0.04 strength, so it shows up as 0.0

@ emperor fool... thanks for insulting my map skills (waa waa)

Hey, I said it looks like an interesting map! :p Creating a map that is not to scale is often a great way to make a map playable.

1. Is it me or is this just coincidence?

Joan of Arc appears as a Great General in BtS. So why is she a Great Prophet all of a sudden?
She was made a saint hundreds of years after her death! How does that make her Moses?

Well, Arc would make more sense as a Prophet than anything else in Vanilla. But he's playing Warlords, going by Saladin's colour.

Choxorn is right - the unit can still move and I did indeed move it one more tile after taking this screenshot. I presume you are right with the rounding but I'm still puzzled about there being (Say) 0.04 movement points left. Normally, movement on a railroad takes 0.1 of a movement point right? Well - for a unit with one movement point like infantry it does anyhow. So how can I end up with 0.04? That unit did move on a combination of railroads and roads in getting to that city. Caesar had railroad and I did not - he built some railroads and I captured the city - notice that there are roads in the city now since I own it. I still can't figure out how I ended up with something between 0.01 and 0.04 movement points left!

What if you moved on 2 roads (0.33 + 0.33) and 3 railroads (0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1)? That would bring the total amount of movement points used to 0.96, and 0.04 would be left. Well, actually, 0.0333333...., but the result is still the same.

reffering the the jean d'arc pic, why are you playing as Elizabeth II the CURRENT queen of england?

That would explain it. Quite possible. Caesar had built a few railroads just north of there towards another city of his I had just captured and the Infantry was coming from the north to join the war. It might just have traveled as you suggest. It's nice to know my copy of BtS isn't inventing weird rules for me as it goes along. If it was, I might actually believe that the AI could get really intelligent one day :D :scan:

My question is why did you quote a picture that was posted on page 6 when we are on page 151?

So, I wanted to see if I can safely open borders with Pericles without pissing Monty off (Peri had been his worst enemy a while ago) and increase my chanches to get Buddhism spread to my cities, since Justinian's Buddhist block has become massive. And what do I see? Monty's worst enemy is Gandhi. Gandhi who?
