Isn't it the next Tuesday the 25th?
Correct. Carnival, Mardi Gras, Shrove Tuesday or whatever you want to call it is the day before Ash Wednesday.

To people hoping Humankind delivers better on historical accuracy - ya'll realize you can literally just make any guy or las to lead the civ and the trailer showed as its primary model som odd hipster-like guy? Like I am sure Humankind will find its niché audience, but I somehow fail to see how someone can look at the trailer and think it will somehow be better than Civ in accuracy.
Soooooo...Anybody feel comfy enough with Dreams to build us the historical 4X that will be all things to all people?
So far, the only thing that’s been released that was disappointing was RnF, and a lot of the stuff in that which I thought was half-baked has got massively improved by GS and subsequent Patches.
The World Congress would like to have a word with you.
...Somewhat about your above comments, but mostly about how you'll get +20% growth but -5 loyalty in all your cities, and what the heck that's supposed to mean to anyone.
Well, you're right on the "threatening" part, I shamelessly admit that I'm doing exactly that when I say that a modder don't have time to mod two games for example, but on the other hand civ6 is IMO the worst of the series about giving the "build a Civilization to stand the test of time" feeling, and is behind civ2, civ4 and civ5 for modding capabilities...To people hoping Humankind delivers better on historical accuracy - ya'll realize you can literally just make any guy or las to lead the civ and the trailer showed as its primary model som odd hipster-like guy? Also not sure how accurate will be starting as Assyrians but ending as USA. Humankind seems to want to do its own thing and I do like it, but it's not Civ. I feel like whole Humankind is at this point over-glorified to be used as threat to Firaxis. People want it to be something it clearly isn't and to be great out of some odd revenge for silence. Which is your business but you might be setting yourself up for collosal disappointment. As in that it won't be that.
On-topic: There has been some flurry of simple updates. Wonder If it means we might be getting close to at least some patch.
Probably being very desperate here... But I just remembered that Venetian Carnival mask from their last update video.Tuesday the 25th is Carnival. But I don't know if that has any relevance at all at this point.

Oh. Must have missed on that one being explained. That was a hint for the Red Death scenario as in The Masque of the Red Death.

Personally I'm trying not to have any hope to begin with. Easier said than done, I know, especially if Civ VI is *the* game for you. Please dont say that. Now my hope is gone for a quick announcement at Carnival.

Eh, I still like it the way it is now, haven't had much time to play and haven't even played out the last patch yetPersonally I'm trying not to have any hope to begin with. Easier said than done, I know, especially if Civ VI is *the* game for you.
I would require it to where you at least have to meet all the Civs first and everyone reaches the Diplomatic Service civic. My only gripes are (1) I don’t like how it automatically starts in the Medieval Era - too repetitive and arbitrary - it should be triggered by either an event or a Wonder, (2) lack on Wonders that really impact the World Congress - Apostolic Palace and UN Building please, and (3) the various Resolutions need some work and balancing.
Just one... more... post....Not to be overly cynical, but at what point does this thread get closed, or at least renamed, to something more appropriate, like "Nebulous Future of the Game?" We're obviously no longer talking about "a winter patch", we're speculating about a DLC, a 3rd expansion, a spin-off game, and, at this point, if Civ6 is dead and we're awaiting a Civ7 announcement. The lack of anything but pre-scheduled filler from Firaxis makes it look like the team is working on something non-Civ6 related (which leads me to believe that the "we're not done!" means spin off).
Edit: Holy Hell I have 14 years registered on this forum.
There's still over a month until the equinox, plenty of time to drop a winter patch. Not to be overly cynical, but at what point does this thread get closed, or at least renamed, to something more appropriate, like "Nebulous Future of the Game?"
