1725 AD is quite slow. I think Tachywaxon once wrote me about that game, iirc., she had a food-poor start with only 1 Gold and never managed to get up a real GP-Farm for most of the game.

Saw your post in S&T and thought you were searching for something to play. Forget about those forum-games, you belong to us now . If you beat Tachywaxon's game, I'll rename the WM2 Warrior on the screenshots for the next strategy guide after you .

Idk if there are any good dictionaries for all those cases where you're unsure about english words (and also all those preetys and witches ) , in germany we have leo.org which is very good. I use it daily when posting on CFC.

Lol. I just worked out a complete GP-scenario in a game that's not for this Gauntlet. I get GPs with mixed GP-pools from 6 cities, from which 4 are heavily -polluted and overall, 9 GPs are created while I already have a Great Spy from Communism. Reason: 3- and 4-GP-GAs + at least 1 TM. 2TM possible, 1 TM + GS-bulb possible, GE-build of WS 90%+, even a possibility for GE-rushing IW.

Needed almost 2h to go through all different scenarios, but I think the chance of failing to create GPs that would work is below 1% now.

For things like this, I love CIV! No spreadsheet needed btw. Using the spreadsheet in the Gauntlet created a sort of feeling for the capabilities of cities to generate GPs, so I know that it'll work. Feels great to have learned something like this, previously I'd had neither created even plans for a 3- and 4-GP-GA, nor would I have gone through so many possibilities, to make sure I get the most and all in time. Thx to everybody who played this and shared his knowledge, really was the best CIV-learning-experience ever!

@Pangaea: Get well soon! I can imagine that playing such a challenging game with only one hand is literally a handicap. Maybe Civ 6 will get voice control, it just needs a few liters of milk with honey to talk 300 hours with your PC: "Worker 83 one NW, farm!", "City 68: Build colosseum!", "CANCEL LAST COMMAND!", "SoD 3: Crush Monty!", ...

Well-well, I finally fired up the game again. Have played 101 hours, but sooooooo much to do still, with one hand, and only four days left. Not possible.

240AD, still spreading Sushi, yet to found Mining or settle cities in the New World. GA at an end and I just went US and bought WS for 6200 , but have 3 GPs to extend the GA, so I can change civics for free when allowed.

I still hope it's possible to get sub 1000AD with this game, but it may require another 100 hours, and with 4 days left that is obviously impossible.

In the meantime, I'm really intrigued to learn whether WT can beat Sera's game. Or if Kaitzilla (or somebody else) will strike with vengeance from the shadows just before deadline. Incredible competition in this gauntlet.

We should ask for a week extension. It would be unfortunate to have anyone put this much time and effort only to fall short by so little...

There was already a generous extension of 1.5 months. Also, the exension would probably need to be a lot longer, to not mess up the rhythm with the Minor Gauntlets, which would make it even more unfair to those, that refrained from playing a 2nd game. This thread has been mostly dead during the past weeks too. I understand your feelings Mitchum, but this challenge has gone long enough.

Obviously Seraiel has reason to not want an extension, currently leading the pack, but there already was a long extension, so yet another one should not be expected. I have already submitted one game for instance, and many others have too, and I would assume WT is on schedule to finish his one attempt in time. Heck, he may already have done so, but is waiting for the right time to submit.

I also knew when the deadline was, and missed it.

Everything relaxed here shulec, I'm ok with not necessarily being #1. The only thing that would make me sad, would be, if I didn't place in the top3, and not being able to pay back Kaitzilla for the last Gauntlet would hurt too. If WastinTime doesn't make it on #1 though, I reserve myself the right to call him #2, #3 or whatever he places for the rest of his life .

It almost seems unfair. I have one last big secret tactic that apparently no one else is aware of. It could be bigger than my exec-fail-gold tactic I unleashed a few months ago which plenty here are taking advantage of. I've been saving this one until I had a good reason to reveal it. Figured I could get one good use out of it before it's banned j/k, I don't think this would get banned.
