Game crashing on startup-verify cache like every day now I guess

I am not sure what information is needed. Basically the game is crashing on startup everytime now.

I verify game cache yesterday and it worked again. Now it stopped working and I have to verify game cache again. I already went in and ran DXSetup again that didnt help.

All the threads I find when I google are old, is no one else getting these crashes or does anyone remember if there was a solution for this behavior

* ya so it just finished the most recent verify. Usually it says 2 files had to be reaquired, this time it says 31! What did I break? Or do the files just randomly corrupt over time

Every time it crashes, there is the possibility of file corruption. It also has to do with systems that are borderline on the requirements. On my "below" spec computer, I eventially moved steam and all games to a thumb drive. That drastically cut back on corrupted files.

cool, its never happened before, just recently. Pretty sure specs are ok (for non huge maps of course) If it happens again ill try with the thumb drive thx for tip
