I paused the game, but made also new obervation (at least for me).

DON'T OPEN DIPLOMACY WINDOW WHEN GAME HAS BEEN PAUSED

i.e. I can't unpause the game and I had to kill it to get out.

Yeah, that bug's been around for a while.

Hopefully DMOC will be able to play soon, or will let us know whether he's handing over to billybones. It's a bit of a pain having to keep the game paused for people to get in their turns.

Dux wants me to sub for him as he'll be gone for a week. (until March 27) If someone else not as involved in the game wants to take over instead that would be great... otherwise I'll do it but I'm not sure if I'll be able to handle diplomacy without bias.

I think we should only pause the game if there is a circumstance for them to miss their turns. If they can't get to it in 24 hours, they should forfeit their turn. May sound a little harsh, but everyone agreed to a 24 hour turn.

Yeah, I have to agree actually. Everyone misses a turn every now and then, for whatever reason. Outside of server issues, it's not really fair to hold the entire game up if someone forgets/neglects to play.

Shall we unpause then?

Yep, the only reason we paused before was because DMOC had made his move and then it got undone without his knowledge in a server hiccup. Unpaused...

And dmoc if you need to switch out try to give billybones your password and basic situation/diplomacy as soon as possible so we can make this transition go over smoothly.

Password isn't necessary, as Elucidus can reset that.

Dux is in the same continent with scuum and clamburger. I think I'll also meet him within next 10 turns.

Joshua seems to have agent or agents on every continent . It worries me little, but assuming he'll get the intelligence info nevertheless I'm okay with him playing. Of course best alternative would be outsider.

I didn't pause for DMOC. I paused because I suspected transition to billybones would take some time and it would be more fair if he loses least amount of turns.

If we're not pausing the game, I suggest we turn DMOC to AI until things get sorted out. He would have lost 2 turns already without pause. If DMOC wants to continue he can take back control or billybones or someone else could do it.

Yeah, that's why I don't want to take over if at all possible. I don't want to know too much about all the other continents... still he's going to need a turn player after it flips over so hopefully you can find someone else before it's too late.

Oh and Elucidus, do you think you could sub for Dux for a week instead of me? You, Hercules and I are the only ones not connected to him ingame yet, and you've seen less of their continent and have no connection to Clamburger... if you won't I'll do it, but let me know if it could work. (I have his password and such.)


Edit: Ho! My ship sees Elucidus's borders off on the horizon! Ha, we were so close but my ship had gone off in the wrong direction. We'll officially meet next turn.

Could you comment the questions asked here. Are you still playing? Have you discussed with billybones about him taking over your nation?

Yeah and if you are, be sure to send him your password as soon as possible so he can take over. If Elucidus has to switch you to AI, you'll lose a turn to it... also don't forget to PM him things like your basic plans and current diplomatic situation with all the civs you've met. I can say from experience it is very annoying taking over someone's civilization and not being given that information! It is fairly important.

Hopefully even if he takes over your game you won't completely drop out, and will still be able to follow the game and check in every now and then.
