A note about item transfers, I shoud clarify with some questions - I think it's best that if you want to give an item to someone, you must give it to another CFC-named player. "Give an item to Earthling" and that will be confirmed that he wants it over PM, not "give an item to Axeguy" because this isn't intended as a secret system to ferret out characters or something like that.
Revealing an item to put up to group vote carries no real limitations if anyone wanted to do that. Anyway, updated the FAQ with this little bit, but most everyone seems to understand how things are working now, just a little addendum to anyone confused with what they may or may not want to do with their items.

I actually thought that 'sprite' would be better than 'fright' as synonym for 'spectre', until I read about the whole X's and O's thing which forced me to write 'fright'.

It was getting colder, and the passage through the mountain valleys was tight and dreary. The tracks they sought were still there to follow, and there was to be no more wandering around, there was no where else to go but where the whole group was going.There was also a lot of overall success preparing magical countercharms today.

Many members of the group were prepared for combat today, but they had not caught up to Ngoogol yet. So while Lo Hwang Halfblood armed himself with the finest weapons and armor, and Cindy gathered up remaining items, the party's defensive scheme was clear.

Lo Hwang took point at the very front of the group, vigilant in his lookout for any signs of trouble, and many were there to back him up. On the other hand, the party had left only a small rear guard, as they were hurrying along late in the afternoon, delegating both Gregor Lom and Flynn O'Neill to the task.

There was really no warning that anyone could have noticed when all of a sudden the air began to heat up viciously, and once again the creature of flame appeared, summoned and bound by dark magic. It blocked the road ahead, but the warriors were ready to fight their way through.
Lo Hwang, leading the charge, displayed particular adeptness in battle, his confidence and strength bolstered by the new materials he'd received, and knowing many allies had his back.
Shields blocked streams of ash, and swords and spears glowing with magical auras in the hands of some of the warriors aided the efforts, and the creature disappeared with a kind of a roar.

There was a brief respite, but the fighters had to see how the rest of the party was faring.

The Elemental creature once more seemed to rise out of the ground to complete the trap, coming at the party from behind. So the two guards who had been suggested to stand back were the first it came across.
The men looked and each other and were ready to stand their ground and fight. But Ngoogol's creature had seemingly chosen one target and ignored the other man, who couldn't hope to fight it on his own either.
"No, why're you coming after me! C'mon"
There was of course, no answer, only furious blows. There was nothing any others could do except retreat and press forward, leaving the unvanquished foe behind.
