Game Tracking Thread

The timer loses time when a player is logged in. The time starts to flow slower. Depending on how much time the players spend in the game, the game is set back a bit.

The timer can show 240 hours, if all play and finish we can make it quicker, but then is no stress.

edit
the timer lost during nothing time, not only if one is in the game, can you test, open civstat and after an hour without log ins refresh the pic, the timer spring.

The pitboss timer stops when anyone is logging in. It also runs slower than "real" time even when people are not logging in (or not even in the game). It just seems to be a minor issue with the in-game timer. Not really a big problem, and very easy to correct for. :)

I hit "end turn" a couple of hours ago, then promptly was disconnected.

Decided to wait a little to see if time fixed the issue. I am timing out now.

I 've paused the game.
It must restart and nobody should make moves, because he can get not permitted infos.

I'll take it down, but it would be best to have the game admins confirm it is OK to reload. Not that I expect there to be a problem, but best to follow correct procedure. :)

OK, the autosave for 540 has been reloaded.

A turn timer change only occurs when the turn rolls, so we're stuck with the 40 hour clock. If any team's turn players are all unavailable longer than that, I suggest using pauses (without spending timeouts or incurring penalties) to manage the time through the end of holiday vacations.

Sorry to make such a fuss but is there a save at the end of 540, like maybe the cav scout save? Even with little time left I can respond so long as this happens between now and the next 8 hours (for today)

We should now play the same turn again, I hope that the result is it also, it was

btw
I 've paused the game (25 Hours).

Can someone please unpause the game? I just wanted to look around at things and Im stuck on a diplo screen. Looks like the game has been paused for two days:confused:

My understanding was that you had to get administrator permission to pause or at least use one of your team timeouts to pause, and even then the pause could only be for 24 hours or whatever... its been at least two days judging by this thread.:(

I 've no interest, to play again, so I paused the game, it would be better for us if I had did it before Xmas.

normally, every player can unpaused the game, but I can do it for you, but you 've then only ~6 hours to play. Send me a PM, when you are ready for playing, the next 5 hours.

We decided on a longer timer during the holidays, but it was impossible to effect that timer immediately. The next best mechanism to ensure that no team times out (thus requiring another reload) is to pause.

I could also have just shut down the game entirely until everyone checks back in. This way, if turn players end up being available then the game can progress.

OK I get it, but I can just re-pause after I finish looking at the game. Just please unpause it when you see this.

slaze already said that he would wait until he saw that everyone else played before he played during the holidays so the 6 hour thing doesnt matter... I dont need to play the turn anyway, just look around and such. I am stuck on a diplo screen.
