Gathering Storm Features
^Link to Features Thread^

This time round I'll be hosting the Features Thread because we came across some issues with how mach code it was taking in Rise and Fall expansion and the forum post was not handling it very well.

As always: This thread is for adding new information or correcting any mistakes.

It really helps if you can add links to any new information/screen shots you find

Also Please Note: I will only be adding things if it has been seen in game-play or mentioned from a reliable source (developers or good media outlet).

The Features thread is now open (but note I am now going to sleep because this was a 4am announcement so I will add any changes a bit later in the day)

Dam district, although the dam is facing the wrong way...

I suspect this is Cahokia Mounds world wonder.

Golden Gate world wonder.

A ski resort wonder/district

Details of the storm events.

Changes to Liang.

Changes to Magnus.

Build queue AND manager (auto build?)

Diplomatic Favors icon on bar.

World Congress proposal notifier.

Geothermal Fissure terrain feature.

World Climate screen.

England revamped.

Zulu, Australia, China and Indonesia are all confirmed to have revamped abilities. China's is supposedly tied to canals (which can now be formed via coastal cities, districts and wonders)

Flooding notification.

New unique barbarian graphics? Slinger looks different at least.

Grievances has its own tab in the diplo screen.

New Empire lens.

Cothon and Pamukkale confirmed.

Suzerain bonus.

Revamped Great People screen.

More governor changes: Victor lost Security Expert and gained Arms Race Proponent. Amani lost Prestige and Promoter, gained Local Informants and Foreing Investor. Pingala lost Arms Race Proponent and gained Curator. Reyna lost Foreign Exchange and Curator, gained Forestry Management and Renewable Subsidizer.

New map labels.

New minimap icon (far right).

Bandar Brunei has a new icon.

I have added:

Phoenicia/Carthage
Scenarios
New Terrain Features
New Map Improvements

The storm surge barrier in the trailer looks exactly like the Dutch Oosterscheldekering, even down to the nearby windmills.

This is a potential World Wonder: the Oosterscheldekering is an iconic part of the Delta Works, declared one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World.

Can't exactly consider things from the trailer as confirmed in-game though. Remember how the R&F trailer had a plague and something that looked suspiciously like a World Congress?

Also there's probably several dozen constructions that are one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World...

As I've argued in another thread as well (please move there if you disagree, let's not clutter this one), I don't think that's the Oosterscheldekering. It looks different.

Moderator Action: Reminder that this is not a discussion thread. Please only post in this thread if you are suggesting something to be added to the features summary in the OP or pointing out something that needs to be corrected in the OP. Thanks.

According to this german article from Gamestar: Egypt will be getting a bonus that they gain more from fertilized riverflood-tiles: https://www.gamestar.de/artikel/civ...ter-dlc-bringt-naturkatastrophen,3337345.html

And according to this article from golem: The 2 Scenarios: one is about the plague in Europe in the 14th century, the second one is designed for 2 players (MP-szenario) fighting as Germany and France in WW I. They also state that Mac and Linux versions are planned shortly after inital PC-release, but not yet to be seen for Switch or or iOS: https://www.golem.de/news/gathering...-ueber-civilization-6-herein-1811-137838.html

And finally according to this article some World Congress resolutions are: banning of certain resources, forbidding of rainforest chopping, or stopping buiding possibilities in certain districts...: http://www.4players.de/4players.php...andel_Weltkongress_Katastrophen_und_mehr.html

The new water based district is called a Seastead acording to the official site::
  • 21st CENTURY TECHNOLOGIES & CIVICS: A new era has been added to the Technology and Civics trees. Combat new environmental effects with speculative ideas such as relocating your population out to seasteads and developing technologies to recapture carbon emissions.

Update:

Added

New Districts
New Updated Civs
Added Victories
Updated World Congress
Updated Miscellaneous

According to writing Bull (german Youtube guy) not only flood plains but plains and grassland next to rivers might get flooded, too.
And there's a new lense for showing these tiles ..
Hurricanes will be able to sink ships when they catch them on the water...

Keep in mind this sentence from the press release: nine unique units, four unique buildings, three unique improvements, two unique districts and one unique governor.

Am I seeing railroads on certain tiles? And tunnels through hills?
