Preturn - GL in 14 turns and Trondheim is producing to the max. The English are competing with us and there are lots of other wonders being built (most notably Pyramids, Colossus and Oracle) and severals civs also knows Map Making, if somebody finish a wonder the cascade may take the GL from us.
Our cities look good, production and growth are as good as it gets. We should chop some forests around Copenhagen to clear some grassland, that would allow both Bergen and Copenhagen to grow a little more.
We have a nice little invasion party gathering in Stockholm. I like that Stockholm has a barracks since it will be our base for the invasion. According to the military advisor we're already stronger than India.
Switch Currency to Monarchy, we need to get out of Despotism. Crank up the research alot and we will have Monarchy in 25 turns.
IT - our curragh gets attacked by a barbarian galley but survives. Copenhagen: Galley->settler. The Celts starts Colossus, Carthaginians Pyramids.
(1) 730 BC - Our road network is fine, sending the workers to improve the grounds around Copenhagen and Bergen.
(2) 710 BC - Exploring. Our invasion party gets ready.
IT - The Indians starts Colossus.
(3) 690 BC - Exploring. A barbarian galley is chasing our curragh. Should I attack India now? I could easily take out Calcutta in two turns, and after that Stockholm would be holding a chokepoint. But we need a little bit more defenses to take on the Indian
counterattack. I decide to wait another turn, more spearmen are on their way.
IT - Reykjavik: spearman->spearman. The English are building the Mausoleum.
(4) 670 BC - Double-check that we have no deals with India and no units in their territory and then
declare war. We capture a worker.
IT - SoZ: Ancient Cavalry. Bergen: Archer->Archer. Stockholm grows.
(5) 650 BC - They lose: 2 spearmen, 1 archer. We lose 1 archer. Calcutta is destroyed

. Both our ACs got redlined.
IT - They lose 2 warriors, we lose 1 archer. Stockholm: spearman->archer. The Russians are building the Great Lighthouse.
(6) 630 BC - We kill the last warrior where Calcutta once was. All units move to Stockholm to heal. Micromanage Copenhagen to finish settler in one turn.
IT - Copenhagen: settler->warrior (MP)
(7) 610 BC - Gathering some troops in the mountain on the chokepoint. No sign of any counterattack from India yet.
(8) 590 BC - All units healed. A settler and a warrior land on the island to the west. Have to temporarily knock entertainment up a notch to keep our production in Trondheim as the MP warrior followed our settler.
IT - Copenhagen: warrior->spearman.
(9) 570 BC - Our new MP arrive to Trondheim. Entertainment back to 10%. Our strike force of 3 ACs, 2 archers and 1 spearman is moving carefully through the Indian mountains. Kolhapur
is guarded by a warrior, hmm...
IT - England complains about our curragh. SoZ: AC
(10) 550 BC - Birka founded on the western island, starts warrior.
Still no sign of Indian offensive troops. I leave it to cizzlewalk to decide if Delhi or Kolhapur is to be attacked next. I would suggest Delhi though, another small strike force that could take Kolhapur is gathering near Stockholm (AC coming in).
India is ready to give us
three cities for peace already! Kolhapur, Karachi and Madras. So, if somebody thinks I started the war to early, we could get peace and half of the Indian territory next turn. On the other hand, they have founded Jaipur near the iron so they will soon have hooked it up.
All tundra cities has grown to size 3, they wont get any bigger until they get harbors. Would suggest to have them building archers and spearmen until the war is over.
Monarchy in 14 turns at current speed, GL in 4.
