we need to blitz...yes BLITZ, our way through Carthage cuz I don't trust Celts on newly captured cities. Plus we should REALLY try and get Chivalry to begin Knights of Templar... I just think getting 2 free units every 5 turns is sexy ;) ...however I'll understand if nobody else feels like going through such trouble :depressed:

1 (660 AD): Load AC from Oea into galley.

IBT: Alesund harbor -> library.

2 (670 AD): Load AC near Cadiz. Celts are gonna conquer Rusicade any moment, but we get Cadiz.

IBT: Celts conquer Rusicade (and Gergovia). Copenhagen riots.
Reykjavik Settler -> library.
Oslo galley -> library.
Birka settler -> marketplace.
Oea barracks -> pikeman.
Sabratha spearman -> worker.
Risor warrior -> worker.

3 (680 AD): Vet AC kills reg fort Numidian Mercenary 3-3.
Elite AC is killed by reg fort Numidian Mercenary 1-6. Cadiz assault failed.

IBT: Oea riots. Celts move near Cadiz.
Tromso pike -> library.

4 (690 AD): Change to temple in Vadso and harbor in Molde. We need that iron and those horses! Disband spear in Tromso. Raze Cadiz with an AC who lose 3 HP, but promotes.

IBT: Get Invention from the GL. Start Gunpowder and change science rate to 40 %.
Bergen aqueduct -> temple. Order restored in Oea. Stavanger harbor -> settler.

5 (700 AD): Move galleys near where Cadiz was.

IBT: Trondheim Colosseum -> Leo. Arabs are building Leo (and also Sistine - that came earlier) English are building Leo (that came earlier too)

6 (710 AD): Load a galley with AC - the last Carthagianian city shall fall!

IBT: Bodo settler -> worker.

7 (720 AD): Unload two AC near Sulcis.

IBT: Karachi worker -> library.
Bryansk spearman -> harbor.
Karistad (I hate the Viking city list...) harbor -> settler.

8 (730 AD): Two more AC unloaded. Start the assault.
Elite AC retreats from Numidian Mercenary 0-5.
Vet AC kills Numidian Mercenary 3-1 and promotes. Carthaginians gone.

IBT: Russians found Kazan' north of Molde. Huge (2 warriors, 2 horsemen) barbarian uprising results. One horseman is killed by our spearmen 2-2, the next kills our spearman 2-0.
Stockholm settler -> harbor.

9 (740 AD): Nothing much. Attack a barb horseman with AC and win 2-0.

IBT: AC in Trondheim.
Cirta spearman -> worker.

10 (750 AD): Attack a barb warrior with AC and win 2-0. Barb hut appears south of Fauske and Oea. An AC from Oea kills a warrior in the hut.

End notes: I suggest you change some of the city improvements (which, mostly, are built by me - before we had invention). A lot of Berserkers are needed to take out the Celts - who luckily have poor defensive units (their best are Gallic Swordsmen and Spearmen).
Also, seriously consider a change in government to Feudalism. It would solve quite a lot of our money worries, because our city sizes are suited to this (we have about 25 towns, and only 3 cities - the 5 support per town fits perfectly). Corruption is about the same.

I only did 5 turns because i was busy and i didn't want to hold up the game.

Preturn (750 AD)- revolt, 5 turns of anarchy,

IT- nada

1 (760 AD)- kill barb camp with ancient cav, kill another camp on our

continent, kill barb galley

IT-nada

2 (770 AD)- unload settler/ spear on eastern part of celt continent. kill

barb warrior,

IT- nada

3 (780 AD)- settle Batsfjord on the celt continent, kill a barb, settle

Hammerfest (sounds like a convention).

IT- nada

4 (790 AD)- movements, kill a barb

IT- learn chivalry and gunpowder from great library, switch government to

feudalism

5 (800 AD)- honningsvag settled, we have no saltpeter, closest source is the

Russian city of Kazan or the Arab city of Bukhara,

I will focus on making our military stronger, to expand our borders and to build our Forbidden Palace.

Building a colony on the gems near Leptis Minor, now we have three luxuries hooked up!

Switch Alesund, Karachi, Oslo from library to temple.
switch Bombay from marketplace to temple.
Switch Hareid from Courthouse to Forbidden Palace, set a citizen as tax collector to trigger WLTKD to speed it up a little.
Switch Reykjavik from library to berserk.
Switch Birka to temple.

IBT - The barbarians outside Kazan attack our AC instead. 5 barbarians die, but the sixth kill our AC.
We learn Teology from TGL. Bombay:temple->berserk. The english are building the Knights templar.

(1) 810AD - Upgrade 11 spearmen for 330g.

IBT - Bergen:temple->berserk. Disease strikes Risor.

(2) 820AD - AC kill a barbarian. Upgrade 2 warriors for 180g. Hurry harbor in Molde.

IBT - Molde:harbor->temple, Birka:temple->aqueduct, Sabratha:worker->temple. Disease strikes Risor again.

(3) 830AD - upgrade 2 spearman for 60g, 1 archer to berserk for 150g(!). ACs kill 3 barbarians and disperse a camp. Other barbarians threaten our workers...

IBT - The russians want to sell us Dyes for silks + 16gpt, way to expensive. Odense:temple->aqueduct.

(4) 840AD - Switch Risor from worker to temple. Switch Vadso from temple to barracks, we need one on that continent too.

IBT - Soz:AC, Vadso:barracks->temple.

(5) 850AD - Upgrade 4 spearmen, 3 warriors for 370g. ACs kill 2 barbarians. We have our horses hooked up. Svolvaer founded->warrior.

IBT - Our galley sinks a barbarian galley. Madras:temple->pikeman. Arabs finish Knights Templar.

(6) 860AD - Ac disperse a barbcamp.

IBT - Bodo:worker->settler.

(7) 870AD - upgrade 3 spearmen, 1 curragh, 1 warrior.

IBT - TGL gives us Education and goes obsolete. :( Delhi:temple->pikeman.

(8) 880AD - We increase research to 60%, chemistry in 16 turns. Zeroing lux.

(9) 890AD - Upgrade 2 spearmen. Haugesund founded->warrior.

IBT - SoZ:AC, Stockholm:harbor->temple, Cirta:worker->harbor.

(10) 900AD - Not much left to upgrade, which is just as well as we need to focus on our research if we are not to fall behind.

Summary: Most of our forces upgraded, need some more though. Most of our cities are connected (or will be soon). We have 17 turns left on the Forbidden Palace and that's about as fast as it gets, but when its finished we will have a good second core.

There are good possibilities for trades, that will of course depend on who our next wictim will be. According to our military advisor we're stronger than anybody. We still only have one berserk, but 2 more are due in a couple of turns. We could upgrade some archers but at a rate of 150g that's a bit expensive.

There is a russian settler/swordsman pair near Karistad, when that island is completely within our borders, we can use them in a "leave our territory or declare war" to force the Russians to declare war on us, if we want to.

There are barbarians near Haugesund, which is undefended right now, but an AC is coming in next turn.
