What do you think of these for those Austrian Musketmen you were requesting? At least as a start?

Austrian_Grenadier_1.jpg

And how about these for the Austrian Grenadiers?

Matt... I know the musketman you based on one of those pics, but about 90% of the pics I've seen on Austrian Musketman are mostly white uniforms... can you ditch the red pants for white pants? The red piping everywhere else looks fine and dandy, but the uniform should be mostly white, including the pants. Other then the pants, keep the red where you have it on the Musketman. See guy on the right...

On the Grenadier... looks good... might want to add some blue piping on the collar and a couple other spots... like in this pic:

You did a nice job on the B-747.

If you have the time, I would like to request an Airborne Early Warning aircraft of some sort. (AWACS E-3 Sentry, E-2 Hawkeye, E-767, Mainstay, etc.) I made a request here along with some links to photo examples.

Thanks!

Hmm, I cannot see the images, but I understand your idea. I will factor that in.
As so?

Austrian_Musket_3.jpg

jkp1187@ I might be able to, but in reality I am not so super at aircraft, Asioasioasio or dutchking would be your men there.. You should put the request in the request unit thread in the same forum also.

Nope, I am getting this image. Maybe I have to have an account or something..

Wolfshanze, could you do me a favour? As a somewhat experiment, "school" Project I am doing a very high detailed model of the HMS Repulse. (Don't worry, I won't let it consume all my modeling time :p).
You said you have lot of books on the ships of WWII, would you be willing to get me a few good pictures of the ship if you have any? I have a nice set of large blueprints from the side and top, lots of detail, but references always help!

Okay... blue piping on the Grenadier like THIS PICTURE:

Austrian_Grenadier.jpg

You've done the white pants on the Musketman, so that should suffice.

Get those pumped-out tonight and I'll hook you up with the Repulse!

Ok, I see, will do!

Thanks, on both counts.

I have a lot of images from Google and all that, but I need some real good drawing if you have any, closeups and stuff..

Thanks!

So are you ready for the USS Iowa pics?

Yep, fire away!

Oh yes, that is after that I think. Then the only Hungarian Warship ever, then some other modern ships and vehicles..

What happened to the Russkie BB? :p
Pfft... we need another USS Iowa... can never have enough of them... once I learned Matt was conned into making a USS Iowa that we already had, I knew I could convince him to make a USS Iowa we didn't have.

There's just never enough USS Iowas in my opinion... and Matt's too.

SOME USS IOWA HISTORY HERE:
Spoiler :

The second Iowa (BB-4) was laid down by William Cramp & Sons, Philadelphia, 5 August 1893; launched 28 March 1896; sponsored by Miss M. L. Drake, daughter of the governor of Iowa; and commissioned 16 June 1897, Captain W. T. Sampson in command.

After shakedown off the Atlantic Coast, Iowa was assigned to the Atlantic Fleet and was ordered to blockade duty, 28 May 1898, off Santiago de Cuba. On 3 July 1898, she was the first to sight the Spanish ships approaching and fired the first shot in the Battle of Santiago de Cuba. In a 20-minute battle with Spanish cruisers Maria Teresa (flagship) and Oquendo, her effective fire set both ships aflame and drove them on the beach. Iowa, continuing the battle in company with converted yacht Gloucester sank the Spanish destroyer Pluton and so damaged destroyer Furor that she ran upon the rocks. Iowa then turned her attention to the Spanish cruiser Viscaya which she pursued until Viscaya ran aground. Upon the conclusion of the battle, Iowa received on board Spanish Admiral Cervera and the officers and crews of the Viscaya, Furor and Pluton.

SOME 3D RENDERS (the cage mast on the stern was a late addition... I wouldn't bother with that Matt):

The crew of the USS Iowa thanks you for bringing their ship back to life, Matt!

Let me know if that's enough, or if you need more! ;)

Looks like lots to start, I will see what I can cook up. If they are so happy though, why are they pointing those guns at me..

The thread you mean? Yeah, it sure helps! Especially when Wolfshanze wants something, he helps a lot by posting images (I am sure that we all would get a lot more done if all the requests were so thoroughly researched. ;) )

If they are so happy though, why are they pointing those guns at me..
They want to make sure you don't get too distracted or forget about the Iowa... Austrian Grenadier hats can be made, but any other distractions from the Iowa are a big no-no.

Just remember what the Iowa did to the Spanish fleet off Santiago... that could be you if you don't whip-up a good Iowa model soon!

P.S.
This USS Iowa has a six big turret layout in a hexagonal pattern... you might be able to get-away using Snafu's Helgoland animation for this one and get all those turrets working!

Actually Woodelf saw my signature and offered to do some animations for me, maybe I can convince him to do some. If not I will try the Helgoland.

And I still need to ask someone to do textures for me, it keeps blowing my mind..

A custom animation would be nice (a revist of the Brandenburg and getting that third middle turret would be nice)... but this Iowa has six major turrets, so getting them to animate would be sweet... however it works best!
