Ghandhi (EC) Emperor Cookbook! Let the fun begin.

Spoiler :

In all fairness I only bribed cathy on 1090ad to got to war with HC. I gave her 4-5 techs. Only way to get cathy more pleased at me. DOW HC was common sense to get mutual military struggle points.

In terms of teching. Going for literature allowed me a fantastic GP farm and NE. (I traded for lit once Aeth was in). So i did make a few trades. I also concentrated on getting the religion in the GP farm. I whipped out a few court houses before I went to caste. may have whipped -12 missionaries too. I used a great merchant for a trade route that gave me 1600 or so. I would have got a further 1600 from Merchant from Economics grab. Academy in capital.

My GP farm was running 6 or so scientists. With tha mausM wonder my golden age was 15 turns. This added nearly 60-90 beakers a turn near 1100ad.

Overall I think its time for a new game. We can vote but if we are not continuing it seems a bit pointless. Hopefully the next game will not be over so quickly. If people want to finish off their games please post any domination or diplomatic wins. Even culture should be doable.

I agree. I had a lot of fun and I think I surely improved seeing your saves.

I would like to see a new game incoming :)

Waiting for Kossin to provide the save. I think we are looking at the Koreans.Hopefully Kossin will make for a different challenge this game. :)

it would be useful for people to make comments on this rounds saves.

I think we can consider this round closed and each player can finish their saves to completion.

Had a look at saves.

Lymond. I played on your save.

Spoiler :
Ap win in 1260ad and 170k+ win score. WOW!! Had to give Cathy a tech for free to get +4 trade.Spread religion to Toku and Brennus. Also spread religion to 2 more cities of yours. Easy win.

If you had gone for Ap win earlier would you of got it?

In terms of save with fastest win this beats mine! You really under estimated your save.

On the downside only 254bpt techwise. GP farm size 16 and 66pts a turn. No Pacsifm with gandhi?? No unis eithers. Did you miss out on liberalism? All those cities though. :)

KM:

282 bpt and a lot of wealth helping this figure. You used same HE site as me in Patiluptra. Not sure why anyone would want this in the capital unless moving it.
One minor gripe is your religion is not in the GP farm!!! GP farm size was 17 though. You could of used more unis and less building of wealth.

Ambro:

195 BPT techwise. GP farm up and running like most saves. Toku and Monty gone and brennus a vassel. Good stack. Liberalism and economics are yours first!! I didnt like HE in Delhi but it looks like you planned to move the capital anyway. Cant see you losing this.

CBPE: 413BPT techwise.

NE is late. Probably cost you 3-4 great people. Toku alive. Ackk. No academy in capital. GK capital is yours so representation would be huge. Again victory almost certain really.

Gumbolt 486 BPT GP farm 100GP pt a turn. Had 9 great people by 1100ad excluding music and economics.

Academy in capital and Oxford uni 4 turns off. Should push science to 550-600circa.

Ap victory with some tweaking possible. ;)

Forgot Toranth.

375 bpt in a golden age. GP farm is diluted. Caste system?

Brennus and soon GK a vassel. Domination/ conquest should be easy once you have rifles. Not sure if Ap is possible unless HC or cathy go free religion.

Whichever save we chose we would be walking this.

@Gumbolt

Spoiler :

Thanks for playing mine out. Wow indeed! I've never finish a game that early. As for AP, I think it just popped up fairly recently. I just recall a vote for the leader - Hauyna or Cath. Besides putting Toku and Monty in their place, which Ambro had set us up nicely, I rushed out a lot of missionaries - actually a couple of Bud missionaries by mistake - I do that sometimes. I sicked Genghis on Brennus and planned to follow suite as you could probably tell be that stack. Despite the Incans tech lead I felt the game was winnable. AP wasn't on my mind at the time though. I need to consider it more often. I will play my save out. Trying out TMIT's new IU - I'm a sucker for punishment

Wang Kong of Korea. The map is done and sent to Gumbolt (yesterday actually) so he just needs to make the thread.

Sure pile the pressure on me to get next cookbook out!!!!:eek::eek:

I do wonder who would of won the vote really. As i have already proven lymond save would of won game by 1260ad. Even that involved quite a bit of clicking end of turns. Didnt take more than 10-15 mins really.

I need to have a look at Kossin save sent to me.

having a few thoughts on next map. Dont want such a walkover next game. Which may mean toning down the warmonger in Ambro. ;)

I'll probably just be shadowing from now on. I submitted the last two rounds because of the situation we were in after the first save. I'm really getting to grips with immortal now but I really like the cookbook format and being able to compare with others really helps my game. There are several really strong players in the cookbooks so I think pretty much any map is going to give a comfortable win, however it is still a great learning tool.

Thanks for sorting out the maps Kossin. Hoping to try shadowing one of your DR's soon, although you get through them so quickly it's scary.

Pleasure!

Actually, I had a good idea about the post-WK Cookbook should people still want me to make the map after that one...

For the Daily Round games, well... I get impatient and want to play on. Offline games I play are usually in one sitting and 2~3 hours (unless I war a lot or play Deity) so it's quite an adjustment. There's also no point of stretching the rounds once the game is in control (tech lead, land lead, safe diplo, etc.). In any case, best of luck and looking forward at reading one of your shadows.

Ambro: Its good to know these games are pushing people up to immortal level. If you want to join our SGOTM team you are also welcome once game gets set up. Looking to form a group from the cookbook players and part of the old team. Assuming people are not already in teams. :)
