Ahh the AD years. We grabbed philosophy, and founded Taoism. (I wish we could prevent founding religions if we wanted!) Only NOW are we even going to get to researching the wheel lol. Actually, due to tech-overflow, its only really taking about just 1 turn to research now anyhow, so it isnt THAT much a delay. Though a lot of my timing is slightly off because I usually go for TGL and then branch up from there while back-trading junk like literature; things are a bit different this game.

A GS arrives. It feel the best option is to use him for an academy. We need one eventually and with our specialists already at work, the academy will be put to best use here. Though if we used him for a super-specialist, then wed still be getting some extra science too, but in addition, +1h to the production poor city. Again
decisions.. compromises. I think the hell with it, academy for now, rest will get absorbed.

Saladin is around. Hes the guy who founded Hinduism. Good news is he is on the other side of Brennus, so if I can get Brennus to turn against him, Ill have no one really to worry about for the next thousand years.
Anyhow, I did something unorthodox here. I traded CoL for some techs like Iron Working, etc. I am sorta desperate Iron pops up in my production poor capital. I also got archery & fishing which can be used here. But even though we missed the oracle, and TGL, I think we will do ok to trade CoL in this spot and still make it to liberalism in time. I am taking careful checks of the tech menus to make absolutely certain we are not going to get bypassed here. CoL is an important liber tech, so be extremely cautious when trading it early.
And of course, I traded it to Brennus next turn as well, as since one AI may trade it to others anyhow, you might as well get some value out of it while you still can.

Good news!!!
Brennus converts to Confucianism. We spread a missionary down to his capital, and had spread it to couple other cities as well. In fact, we didnt have to bribe him to switch, he did it auto at this point.
From now on, if you want to be absolutely certain he doesnt switch back, you can make a few more missionaries, but just GIFT them to him. Hell then walk them on his own and spread them to his other cities, or even cities of other Ais.
NOW we can also convert to our own religion, FINALLY. Now we wont run into any religious wars, and we will be getting our friendly relations to grow soon with Brennus.
Just remember, DO NOT assume just because you are friends with Brennus he is your buddy. He is aggressive and can not be trusted. This is just one small tactic we will use to keep him in check, but will do others as well to play it safe.
The good news, is as time goes on, not only will he grow more pleased with us, him and Saladin will grow more and more hateful of each other. Thats very good for us, and that missionary work is eventually going to pay off (otherwise why would we have bothered!?)

Damnit! There was a barb city down south of my sister city that had stone. And wouldnt you know, JUST as I got axemen in place to take it, silly Brennus just marches right in and gets lucky to capture the city with his horses. Then he razes it.
Stupid! It just happened for once that this city was in the perfect location, and yet he razes it. And I know he is going to build a city in the same place anyway. So why raze it!!?
Cause its the AI, its stupid!

We receive a message that our 2 city empire holds half a million people.

Another GE arrives.
Hmm
do we either put him to work as a super-specialist
Or
do we use him to lightbulb the pink & purple colored-metal-washbin-casing technology?
Hmmmmmmmm!

Ok Im getting worried here. Brennus has a small army now (mostly made up of horses), and he hasnt been in a war yet with Saladin. Ok time to bribe him and force the issue before he gets bored and does something stupid
As much as it pains me to do this, I will surrender CS and Philosophy to him just in order so he fights Saladin. This will give me 1 rating with Saladin, but Brennus will take the whole brunt of the war, and be faced with 3 haha. Sucker

A Great Scientist arrives
.
Do we absorb him or
.
Try to lightbulb him for the Pink & Purple toilet-paper technology (NEW AND IMPROVED!)
Ahh no, its just the plastic-compass. Ok, since the compass isnt in the color I wanted
I guess well just absorb him
Note: 12 turns to liberalism.

7 turns left till liberalism. Time to look inside our city. Is that not a great use of specialists or what? Looks like we are in the tech-lead, even after screwing up the oracle shot, and missing TGL. Throw in the fact this is Emperor and I guess I FORGOT to lightbulb our G*s, I guess that means this is impossible!
