It was either him or Michkov... Calanthian sends directly to Michkov for some reason. I would have pushed them a little but I've noticed we tend to slow up at the same points and the turn moves the same pace whether I remind people or not.

Also, I was busy! :eek:
 
I suggest just a little more posting here, this just brings the thinking of this game a little more. Tell a joke maybe, or share what you might do for Holiday this year. It doesn't matter what it is but the result is a post from the "Give me 18" thread which causes you to look at where the turn is.

But in my years of Civing we are doing a great job!!! Well done to all.

Here is something that may or may not be interesting, I'm from Ohio and I'm not used to hear a Southern Bell's accent, I went to eat at a busy buffet around dinner time, it was very crowded and with that pretty loud and I'm half deaf anyway. I was alone and seated at a table for 4 which I feel bad about if a place like that is busy. Anyway I ordered a "sweet tea" a few minutes went by and my waitress came by and introduced herself and then asked me if "I wanted a Lemon for my tea?" Remember its pretty loud with all the peoples conversations. I got a great big smile and said "Heck yea that'd be Great!!!!" a few minutes later she came back with a slice of Lemon on a plate, I said HUH? what's that for? She said for your Tea. Oh my "I thought she said "Do you want some Women for them Seats"! Ha ha
 
Well while we´re at it: On day I was walking through town and thought I saw a gay couple holding hands coming towards me. I was about to tell them of my admiration for them openly showing their love in such a conservative society, when it turned out one of them was actually a woman. :pokerface:

  • you can chat to all or you can chat to one other player
  • it doesn't automatically come up so you have to remember to check it
  • a chat started through a trade screen does automatically come up - you could use this to say 'check the chat log'
  • if you use the trade screen, you have to remember to hit enter / press the send key or you are just chatting to yourself

:blush: My apologies for the bad info...I shouldn't make comments on something I never use. I should have investigated first not trust what I thought it was.

This is a good point. It seems after a lot of talking in the early goings we are all just stagnated waiting for some things to happen. Anything worth mentioning in the game from anyone? I dont want to make state secrets public, but a little chatter about the game doesnt hurt...

For example, this is public knowledge already, but Michkov and I are confirmed isolated on an island together. Plenty of land for both of us so there will be no fireworks anytime soon (I hope!)... however the protective Native Americans need to start ramping up our tech rate, its pathetic right now.

So what´s up with ParadigmShifter? He hasn´t played his turn for days.
 
Maybe you should play his turn for now so the game doesn´t come to a standstill?

So I was able to get into Paradigm's turn... I'm going to give him 24 hours from now to show up and do his turn or else I will do it for him to get it moving again. He will then have 1 more week to show up before I start looking for a replacement. Just wanted to put that out there publicly to give him a chance.

Hopefully we don't lose people in this game because of the delay. After we get moving again tomorrow I will send an email out to everyone to make sure everyone is still ready to keep going!
