Giving money as a gift?

Giving money as a gift isn't allowed towards all civs i guess? Sometimes the pop up box comes up, Ill give say 110 in gold but it won't show up in the lower right corner of the main box. Any reason for that?

Please provide an example like a screenshot, if you would. I'm not exactly sure what you are referring to here. However, you should always be able to gift lump sums of gold to the AI.

He is talking about the AI demanding gold from him. That's the popup he is describing.
And to answer him:

The AI will some times demand gold from you.

• Accepting will make the AI like you more. It also gives you a 10 year truce during which the AI can't declare war on you.
  
  
• Refusing will make the AI like you less.

To manually give gold to the AI on your own without being asked go into the diplomacy screen, go to the trade menu and offer them a trade with gold on your side and nothing on their side. This gives you the same relationship bonus but no truce.

No i meant the box pops up with the intervals of 10 gold, i hit ok or whatever, but its not on the bottom right side of the diplomacy screen to offer. Only the amount box pops up even after i put in an amount and click ok

Its under "you offer" I tried it with a number of civs and it all works now for some reason. I offer the gold, click ok, and it shows up under "you offer" and than of course you click "please, except this gift" If it happens again i'll take a screen shot

Yep, I can visualize what you are describing. No reason for that not to work for you, but if you run into any issues let us know.

Could be this elusive bug:

Hi, in the mid and late period of game, sometimes I can't trade AI with gold, clicking the gold item in diplometic screen is responseless.

[...] There also appears to be a rare, seemingly unrelated bug that can prevent any gold from being put on the table. I haven't been able to fix (or reproduce) that. I've seen it reported for Realism Invictus too, so I don't think it's something I've broken.

[...] I can also confirm the unable to add gold bug, including the fact that there is no known way to reliably reproduce it.

THank you gentlemen. I've been doing a fair amount of modding and using the world builder, I thought i went back and forth between the game and world builder one too many times., Glad it wasn't my doing.
