GMR Game - Got Cookie?

Hi Alistair, thank you for putting up the fight to the very end. May I ask if you are still interested in joining this scenario game 'Fall of Rome'?

Eastern Rome (Byzantine), Franks (France) and the Huns are the 3 civs left.

To Banman, Tabarnak, and KYP: Do you have game slot to play this GMR scenario game? The scenario has only 70 turns, and action starts right at the beginning :)

11 games running is enough for me right now.

:bump: Time to make a report.

Siam countered the initial attack made by Songhai tempting to annihilate us. But Rammy didn't want to stay on ''statu quo'' for too long with only another civ to trade. Siam=Elephants...so, what was the plan? I finished Liberty and picked a great merchant. Yes, a gm. Very first time that i pick this guy from Liberty. Throwed him to a cs and got 300 gold from a trade mission. I was then be able to upgrade my horsemen :)

Then i put more pressure on him. He retreated, put a citadel near his closest city(GL is in there) and i'm now trying to push him over the canyon with 5-6 elephants killing everything on their passage plus a couple of everything else as well. I saboted his citadel. It's time to conquer our continent.

Nice comeback.

Update on the other continent. Rome has half and just chilling. Greeks and iriqoi are still fighting, mainly because there is nothing else to do it seems. Nothing has happened. I just found it really funny to attack him from the south (there is a long mountain ridge that goes around greek lands and to attack from the south I had to have my cavs run through both roman and arabian lands).

This is another game that I dont have a chance and now I just want to mess with Banman.

Siamese elephants are real beasts. :goodjob:
Liberty GM is great choice, but if your happiness is close to cap, rushing the CI to get a longer golden age may get greater benefit out of it, only takes longer to accomplish.

likewise, my position is not such that i can vie with the major powers ... but am happy to administer retaliatory scalpings to foffaren :) (as i have done to most of his attacking army, the rest is yet to come)

would also like to point out that perhaps one reason both the greeks and the iroquois are destined for non-competitiveness is _somebody_ would rather fight avowedly pointlessly than build ...

Agree. Perhaps Greek wasn't sure about who's the real target of Roman by then, seeing the build up of military he has to prepare some defence. But once the Roman starts to fight the Arab, perhaps should take the opportunity to go wonder happy and grow cities larger. The great library wasn't built for a long time among other wonders.

I would like to point out to Banman that he has not actually done any damage to my army even if he killed more units than me.
I have plans, just need to make them happen. Dont care about the rest of the world. Its him and me now mano a mano with sword and bow while the rest of the world techs ahead.

This feels so much more... Honest.

whatever works for you I suppose. I haven't attacked you yet, so of course whatever you've got squirreled away in your wastelands is untouched.

The Iroquois leaders wish to allay any concerns our Roman neighbors to the south have regarding our troop movements --> our troops are headed to the east to deal with the Greek barbarians. We have garrisons on the Roman/Iroquois border only to protect against further facilitation of Greek attacks by the Romans.

The Romans have no concern, have fun!

when I load up the turn it says it's Kyp's turn (?) ... it allows me to hit continue, but it goes to foffaren next ... have you guys encountered this before? would reverting the turn help?
