WINTER

Are you gonna play your turn anytime soon?

i believe that it's sas's turn, and that the somewhat complex diplomatic situation needs to be resolved before the game continues.

France is very happy with the peace treaty between Britian and France. However, we need to settle the issue with the cities occupied by Prussian forces.

We suggeste Prussian forces pull out of the cities, and hand them back to France. In return we will keep the cities demilitarized.

The conference of Paris continues:
Prussia will concede French influence over Spain. However, maintenence of Prussian control over the claimed cities is important to stabilising the balance of power in the European continent as well as to Austro-Prussian-British security. Plus, having tasted the liberty of the Prussian state, the Germanic peoples of the Netherlands and Strasbourg are unlikely to welcome a return to Napoleonic dictatorship.

Therefore, we will consider allowing the French demilitiarised control of the German city of Strasbourg, and relinquishing any demands on the isolated city of Baden providing accomodation can be reached with the Austrian Empire. In exchange Prussia will occupy the cities of the Netherlands, which are important in order to ensure the security of Britain. We will also offer France a guaranteed peace of 2 years.

In the light of this greater aim for securing the stability of power withing Europe Austria is ready to assume authority over the exclave of Baden, if this is agreeable with the French authority. Minimal numbers of defensive military personel would guarantee safe passage for trade and political stability, while French troops are kindly asked to withdraw from southern Germany.

At the same time it would be commendable if apart from Strassbourg, also the French speaking part of the Netherlands would be returned to French rule- namely the provinces of Flamen and Valonie with the regional capital Liege.

The negotiations with Britian was made on the assumption that all the cities captured by Prussia would be handed back to France. France will not accept the Prussian demands. Further, Baden should remain under French controll. But French forces will pull out from southern Germany.

France have allready gone too great lenghts to secure a peace treaty with Britain. But even France have a limit as to how far we are willing to go.

"Our country hopes for peace and has no quarrel with any of the European governments. We will not be easily drawn into yet another war for the sakes of other states' interests! Austria welcomes French willingness to withdraw from Southern Germany. We had hoped for a definite settlement on territorial issues between the powers of Central Europe to avoid future conflicts for petty border towns. The matters concerning the Austrian claims on the German town of Baden may as well be postponed... however, we advise foreign powers to well note Austrian interests for securing its borders and our vital trade routes: Our vigilance shall not be lacking as in the past." v. Metternich

Pls come to some sort of agreement soon :( so we can continue, yes ?!

It is interesting that Napoleon is so willing to paint himself as the wronged party in the European wars, but is so unwilling to make concessions to ensure that such wars will not occur in the future.

Although Prussia has already made repeated concessions to French demands, we are willing to consider the Austrian peace proposal despite the sacrifice of Liege, which is vital to the integrity of Prussia's Western border. Many brave Prussian soldiers died in the liberating of these cities, and we are unwilling to see more lost in defending them unless France persists in this imperialistic stance. We do not have aggressive intentions towards France, in order to confirm that we are willing to sign a 2 year complete truce with Napoleon, with option to extend. Prussia
has no burning desire for war, and sees the Austrian peace plan, despite its concessions, as the best way of stabilising the European situation.

this probably isn't fair to continue negotiation and counter negotiation whilst people are waiting for their turns. i suggest we play the next month through as a cease fire period and continue with said negotiations.

I'm sorry, but I'm lost here. What kind of demands? Unless you're talking about your demands that is... to keep cities you occupied.

Y dont U just exchange Amsterdam for Antwerp- this way France would have a safe border out of Antwerp and Liege, Prussias border would be between the triangle of Amsterdam, Hamburg and mighty Frankfurt.

Even a exchange of Baden for Strassbourg and Liege would seem fair an issue in the light of the current situation

Napoleons patience has finally run out, and an attack on Prussian forces inside the French border is attacked. The Prussian demands are not accepted and France considers it a waste of time to continue the talks with Prussia. A series of attacks mainly against Prussian offensive forces where made.

Both Austrian and English forces where not attacked.

*The French army liberated the city of Strasbourg.

*In turkey, French forces attacked Smyrna.

PS: Sorry, but i felt some action was in order :soldier:

Prussia is disappointed in French action against our units under a flag of truce and whilst negotiations were underway. We will consult with our allies before considering an appropriate response.
