The economic and social reforms of the Prussian Republic continue, as Russian reparations money is pumped into industrial subsidies enhancing the country's productive capacity.
Thousands are still flocking to volunteer for service of the Republic in their war against the self professed "Emperor of Europe", Napoleon. The heavy losses sustained in the early months of this war have now been almost totally replaced.
The Prussian cabinet offers their apologies at being unable to attend the new Emperor's corronation; due to the state of war between the two nations it was thought impractical. However, several barrels of rations have been redirected from the Strasbourg garrison towards Paris, so that at least German wurst and beer will be present to toast the Emperor.
Napoleon will also be able to celebrate the attendance of the exiled Russian and Prussian monarchs, Alexander and Friedrich Wilhem, at Notre Dame next month. Unfortunately for him their crowns are as meaningless as the one which he places on his own head.
The true Prussian head of state, Chancellor von Hardenberg, returned to Berlin this month after attending real corronation, that of the Holy Roman Emperor Francis II, recognising the seniority of the Austrian Empire in the pan germanic alliance.
The two leaders held a meeting following the ceromony in order to clarify future strategy. It's thought that the Chancellor raised the issue of the Austrian military presence in central Germany, and why it was necessary on the border of their most trusted and obedient friend, whilst a war raged in the west. The results of the conference have yet to be published in the Prussian press. (winter, check pm
