Gnb3 Pbem!!!

This month, Hanover became the latest German state to recogonise the benefits of greater unity with the Prussian Kingdom. In lavish celebrations, held in the city of Hamburg, King Frederick Wilhelm was acclaimed protector of all the Northern Germanic people. He took the opportunity to praise the Kaiser of the Holy Roman Empire, present at the ceromony, for making this new found German unity possible, saying:
"Now it is time for the great nations of Austria and Prussia to advance, hand in
hand, into what will doubtless be a glorious future for the German people."

Further on the diplomatic front, Prussian and French diplomats met this month.
The Prussian foreign minister hailed the talks as a great success stating:
"We recognise the need for the major European powers to take action against the hostile Kingdoms of the "Neutral" Alliance in order that they may ensure their own security"

On the domestic front, government investment in economic and military development
continues apace.

Austria urges the French Consul Napoleon to retreat from the German lands of Baden. While Austria seeks no military conflict over the issue we have to remind France that the German States of Baden and Bavaria are under the protection of the German Empire, thus suggesting at least the immediate demilitarisation of the vincinity of Baden.

No claims are made on further German territories, such as in Helvetia or the Austrian Netherlands...

we have to remind France that the German States of Baden and Bavaria are under the protection of the German Empire, thus suggesting at least the immediate demilitarisation of the vicinity of Baden.

Baden will remain under French jurisdiction. French forces in the area are under orders not to advance any further, and remain in a purely defensive role. France have no further claims in the area, and promise to govern Baden with a minimum of military force.

French forces captures Barcelona, and 4 British Ships are sunk while docked for repairs.

Naval battle near Napoli, 1 British Ship of the line sunk.

Naval battle near Nicosia, 2 British Ship of the line sunk.

Swedish naval power decimated

The Swedish navy was shattered this month in what has become known as the Battle of Danzig. The battle commenced with a Swedish assault on the Prussian baltic fortress, which eventually succumbed to the sustained barrage of Swedish naval might. However, this was not before it had taken at least two Ships of the Line to the deep. The Swedish survivors from this action were subsequently mopped up by the triumphant forces of the Prussian navy, sinking the great ship the Vasa.

Nothing else to report really

*British forces annihilate 2 french Cavalry regiments on the English isle. Let this be a warning to any further excursions by the french.

"Bavaria and the Duchy of Würzburg join the Austrian state. The Kaiser has invited the crowned leaders of all European states to celebrate the event at this years' Austro-Bavarian Oktoberfest !!!

---

Oktoberfest a full success:
The Oktoberfest is on the best way to achieve a new record in both "Maß" (1 Liter/Glass) sold, as well as visitors to the festival this year. It has been argued that this is mainly due to the prominent visits of European royalty to the event, as the Kaiser has invited (amongst others) King George of England, Carlos IV of Spain, as well as the Russian and Prussian Monarchs. Consul Napoleon of the French turned down the offer, as he had to keep an appointment to inspect the hareem of the Khalif of Kairo. Other analysts have nonetheless dicussed that the high numbers are more easily explainable when looking at the cheap price for "accessories" to the beer- as are Prussian imported Frankfurters and Leipziger Bratwürstchen, Münchner White Saussages and Nürnberger. Prices are still high on Badish Bockwürste, yet it is believed that the market will saturate...

"In a further bold move to establish a balance of power in Central Europe, high officials of the Prussian and Austrian foreign ministries have signed the new "Prusso-Austrian Alliance" which stretches from the Baltic Sea to the Mediterranean..."
The Alliance does, however not seek to to be seen as an aggressor, but is aimed at establishing a new forum for negociation within Europe!
The Kaiser has anounced his wish to hold peace talks with First Consul Napoleon, and voiced a list of desired initial points of discussion:

1. Cease of all hostilities between Austria and France as point of departure for further negociation
2. Return of imprisoned Bavarian and Saxon citizens and military personel by part of France
3. Austria recognises French control over Eastern Rhine area and Geneva, however French claims for the province of Baden are not acceptable in the long term and negociations should take place no later than january of the new year.

The French High Command gathered today to discuss the list of desired initial points of discussion from the Austrian Kaiser. There was a lengthily heated debate about the future of Baden. But in the end, like always, Napoleon is the one who makes the decisions concerning the safety of the French Empire.

This is the official response from Consul Napoleon;

-------------
France welcomes any attempt to maintain a peaceful atmosphere between the great nations of Europe. Like the Austrian Kaiser, Napoleon does not want a war between our countries. Certainly not over a city like Baden. To put it blunt, it’s not worth starting a major war over.

But it must be stated, that France is not willing to just hand over Baden to Austria without some kind of agreement. We will wait for Austria to make a constructive proposal about the future of Baden, and what kind of compensation Austria is willing to make for the ownership of the City.

Consul Napoleon congratulates the Austrian Kaiser's statement on the affairs in The Ottoman Empire. France is looking forward to fight the heathens side by side with Austria.

As everyone knows, France is in a bitter struggle with Britain. We have numerous times tried to make peace with Britain, to no avail. France hopes the leaders of Europe will put some pressure on Britain to accept a peace treaty. France has no desire to rule the British Isles. But at the moment, we have every right to defend our self against British aggression.

-Consul Napoleon-

French forces prepares to capture Aswan.

Napoleon is conserned with the heavy losses of naval vessles in the war with Britain. As a result he have ordered the construction of a new series of Ship of the Line. France will never surrender the seas to Britian.

Encouraged by French proposals to negociate in various areas of ongoing European conflict, and despite the grim war fought between Britain and France, the Kaiser invites all leader of the Great European houses to join a Pan-European forum in which security issues can be discussed on European level, rather than in mere bilateral negociations...

Dear Kaiser,

I´m willing to discuss about the future of our continent.
Please, could you tell us when and where is this "Pan-European" forum going to take place?
Unlike the past Oktoberfest celebrations, could you invite me? ;)

ALEXANDER THE GREAT

A British delegation will attend the discussions, Prime Minister Pitt himself plans to attend.
