Oh, that reminds me, Feanor gave me the idea for the name when I was discussing my idea for this NES with him, and, indeed, it is purloined from some ancient RPG game "Fallout". Its such a great name, and it suits this NES perfectly. BTW, has anybody done a NES like this before?

Mmm... Since Sheep doesn't count, the answer is no. He posted a map with nuke pollution circles on though.

Wow, i was surprised at the number of people who responded. Well, that means that I can start on the Stats and Map.

raistlin - The USSR is pretty screwed, they got badly nuked, probably 45% of their land mass is devastated, they will be difficult to play, but, if you enjoy a challenge . . .

fantasmo - one country only, Australia is it, and, well, France and Australia got about equally nuked

Yes, I just took the name, this is not based of any game.

India and China are good countries to take, both powerful, and not very nuked, especially India.

das - If you read my story, you shoulod know that Soviet agents who penentrated the USA managed to screw qaround with the USA's Nuclear Arsenal, so some quite random places got Nuked. In fact, ironically, some USA Nukes Nuked the USA, as well as Europe, Asia, etc.

Gelion and others - This NES starts on October 18th, 1962, one day after the USA exchanged Nukes. October 17th is the day that will rest in infamy forever.

Oh, and UN is no longer around.

Panda - Japan is not that badly damaged, Kyoto, Tokyo, Sapporo, and a couple other cities got nuked, but they were mostly smaller ones, only Tokyo was devastating. It will be fairly functional. And, you will have experience at dealing with pollution from WWII!

Oh, another thing, since effectively, there are no functioning Governments in the UK, USA, USSR, Canada, isreal, the Middle East, France, etc., feel free to take one of the colonies of those countries, and declare your freedom. Not much that they could do anyway.
