sorry im a bit behind, is this greater good thing just the CU under a different name?

Vice President Reagan was asked to comment upon the new polices of the ever changing, but always whining CU, or rather, the UGG. "Just a nation pretending to be greater than it is. A kid with a broken toy trying to hit it enough to make it work. Let's leave it at that, eh gentlemen? I don't like talking about young children on an ego trip..."

OOC - Ya, Gelion, you'd best be chosing the winner of the Bueaty Contest. You dun want me doing it, lol.

UGG, lol.

Just for the record, Hellfury quit as Vietnam, so that notion is now NPC

Breakthrough in Nigerian Negotiations

Vladimir Putin, a Russian Politician and the head of the MCO has spent weeks in the AF trying to reach a solution to the crisis that has developed in the Northern Regions. When, after two weeks, Mr. Putin's visit was over most people did not have high expectations, but they were surprised at the end of the visit press conference. Mr. Putin announced that a plan devised by the Russian government has been adopted by the African Federation. The troops of the African Federation currently in the Northern Territories will be recalled home due to the crisis that has arrived, and authority will be turned over to a local government. With the Nigerian withdrawal scheduled within three months Mr. Putin called this "the right choice at the right time," and promised peace and prosperity to the region. He expressed his hope that the AF will not leave the MCO, and promised to use his influence in Russia to bring about closer AF-Russian cooperation.

Generalissimo Shaka Zulu was tired, after long discussions with Mr. Putin he had agreed on the withdrawal of his troops from Nigeria and the attempt to resolve the Separatist issue through dialog and diplomacy.

During a press conference he declared:

“The discussions with Mr. Putin were very though, he’s a man of conviction that firmly stands his grounds while presenting sound arguments to support his point of view, we agreed to withdraw our forces from Nigeria and to try once again the diplomatic path to peace and reunion.

However Mr. Putin did not manage to persuade us to stay in the MCO, while the African Federation is keen on keeping good relations with Russia and Japan we have no need the fake and backstabbing friendships offered by the other members of that organization.
During these meetings we also laid the foundation for new and much tighter Afro-Russo relations in many fields.

The African Federation is now committed to concentrate on peaceful grow and stabilization projects starting by establish tighter economic and political relations especially with the Fascist and Demofascist Brothers around the globe, and while we still do not recognize the terrorist who seek to split the Federation as anything more than the terrorist they are we have been persuaded to try reuniting the federation through the peaceful means of diplomatic dialog.

Long Live the Federation!"

Hmppfff... ;)
Reaction is at least a modicum of acceptance in the international society, better then what we had nary a year ago - when everyone was ignoring us.

And you'll see... once the UGG's internal policies balance themselves out we'll become the richest nation on Earth once again! (true, the CU did actually have the highest stat. income per round before the mega-update =^_^=)

Things are looking up. At least the kid nation of the world doesn't get bullied around by anything more serious then words. ;)

CELEBRATIONS IN THE STREET!

snap_dancer.jpg.jpg

The people of Nigeria celebrated long into the night at the news that the African Federation were ready to leave Nigeria. The threat of another terrible attack such as that 20 years ago had hung over the Nigerian people and the relief at the fact that it would not be repeated was immense. Nigerian's across the country united in song and dance to praise the leaders of Russia and the Nigerian soldiers who had fought so bravely to maintain Nigeria's independence.

The Government is due to return to the capital in the next few weeks from it's secure bunker location to resume control of the country and hopefully to lead a bright new future for Nigeria.

Presidential Speech

'My fellow Nigerian's,

God smiles upon us today as we have retained our independence and freedom. Words can not express the joy I feel following the news that the spectre of AF oppression has been lifted. Now we must look forward with hope in our hearts to a new brighter future for all of Nigeria and Africa.

Peace be with you all!'

The Union of Progressive States send their congratulations to Nigeria and offers to send 2000 Barneys to aid in the rebuilding of the country.

to the UPS and Ivory Coast
We frown upon this breach of our sovreignty and attempt to sabotage the peace process, i doubt that you would like it if we sent aid to separatists in your regions so we must demand you do not do so in our regions.

to Nigerian Rebels
We would like to start talks regardin the peacefull re-unification process

Well if world opinion is against me helping this shattered nation, i can easily tie the aid in the form of debt.

The point is that nigeria is not a nation, its a state of the AF, world opinion can be and say whatever they want but it does not change that fact.
