Germans start Sistines and two Russian swords appear, heading for Yaroslavl.

Novgorod falls, no casaulties.

Kill a Russian sword and move on to Yakutsk.

Edrine finishes its marketplace and starts Forbidden Palace.

Russian sword kills a sword on the road to Yaroslavl.

The Indians attack and raze a Carthginian town on the spit. Take a look at the terrain and decide to set Vladivostok to building a settler (due in 1 with growth in 1) to settle on the spit Some of those silks would look good on the harem.

Germans have wiped out the Greeks.

Readying for the battle at Yakutsk.

Yakutsk is ours but the Russians have a settler on a galley.

Russians land a sword and archer pair at Yakustk.

Dispatch the Russians to Valhalla, or wherever dead Russians go.

Postion settler at Smolensk to seize the spit as soon as the Indians move.

Germans start Leonardo's Workshop.

Move settler and sword out towards the spit.

Watch the Indians use a catapult to defeat a Carthaginian landing at Chittagong.

400AD
Move settler onto spit and find Cathginian settler pair right in front of Indian troops.

We learn Republic and can revolt.

There are three Russian galleys at sea along our coast. One or more of them has a settler. Our only boat is a ways off. Have not made peace with Catherine yet. Both armies are at Istanbul awaiting orders.

There is some land open for settlement if we choose not to culturally expand the western borders.

Germans are the tech leaders and won't trade nuttin' for anytink. We are up Republic and Engineering on the Indians but they have no money.

We buy Invention from the Aztecs and trade it to the Celts for Theology.


Summary

Nothing too eventful. India and Carthage are no longer at war. Germany is up Education on us.
 
Although no one posted a roster, if post #1 is correct, I'm up. So, I have it. I will probably need the full 48 on this one.
 
Pre-flight – 500 AD – Germany has chivalry and education. We’re up a few techs on Carthage and India.

We need to get to Mil Tradition. So I bump science up to 40% to get it in 22 turns. We’re average to Carthage and weak to India. Snagging those Carthaginian cities to our south looks tasty. Wake up our two armies and send them south. Plus we could use the lux.

MM our cities for production.

IBT – St Pete: library=>market

1. 510 AD – Germany now has gunpowder. Time to research has dropped by a turn. I start to get angry when the workers run amuck, but then I remember that automated workers are part of the variant.

IBT – Iznik: library=>MDI
Gemskudar: Library=>barracks
Celts and Aztecs start KT.

2. 520 AD – We had two workers who weren’t automated :no-no: Oh, not enough :smoke: I spend 20 gpt purchasing some :smoke: from the Jamaicans. Our workers are very happy and run amuck some more.

IBT – The Indians start KT. Time for a trade.

3. 530 AD – I sell Gandhi Theology for Chivalry & 4G. I switch our only military build over to a knight. We’ll need the knights for upgrading to Sipahi.


IBT – Germans build Sistine.

4. 540 AD – Nada.

IBT – Yekatie: Library=>Barracks

5. 550 AD – Kick the Carthaginian forces out then declare war.
Kill the two Numercs defending Cirta and capture the city. Our war loving people allow us to drop the lux to 0%.

IBT – A Carth archer approaches Cirta.

6. 560 AD – Kill the Carth Archer. Kill a Numerc in Cadiz their silks city. Bump science up 10%.

IBT – Moscow, Rostov, Smolensk: Library=>barracks
Iznik: knight=>knight
Germans start Cop’s

7. 570 AD – Cost of gunpowder drops again. The Aztecs know it. @ Cadiz our sword army kills the defending MuMerc and the city joins the Ottoman Empire. Two slaves are introduced to the wonders of :smoke: The last Carth city has expanded so we won’t need to raze and replace. Send the settler up north.

Vlad: library=>barracks

8. 580 AD – March on the last Carth city. We now have positive cash flow.

IBT – Two archers are dropped off next to Cadiz.

9. 590 AD – Kill the two archers.
@ Hadrunetum – Our MDI army kills the two defending NuMercs and we capture the city.
I dial up Hannibal and he gives us 12g & 8 gpt for war reparations. To pay to the widows of all of our soldiers that died in our righteous war. Oh, no one died. :blush: Very well then! It will go towards research so that we will have fewer future widows. Gunpowder has dropped to two turns. The celts know it.

Our people are sad that peace has come, so lux has to go up. :rolleyes:

10. 600 AD – Science can come down with Gunpowder due next turn. Move a spear towards our new cities to free up the MDI army.

After Action – Nothing much. Need to get some barracks on line and get to Mil Tradition. Start building knights. We’ll need the Sipahi to kill those War Elephants.

Pre-turn - We are looking alright, change a few tiles in towns to speed up growth. No changes in builds.

Send a settler to the coast to build a fishing village.

Diplo reveals there are 8 turns left on a couple of deals.

610AD - Germany starts Magellans!

We learn Gunpowder -> Chemistry at 50% for now.

Aydin aqueduct -> knight.

Furzmit aqueduct -> market
Yekaterinburg barracks -> market. Rename the town to Yekiz.

Konya founded -> library.

Germany will find our continent anytime soon, so I trade WM's and get 96g for the trouble. That means I can turn up research to 60%, Chem due in 11t at -12g with 169g in the bank.

Our workers decide to begin a road down to the icy peninsula, so we will have silks in a few turns.

630AD - India starts Leo's.

The galley on the other side of the world has done its job, so I send it to its doom.

640AD - Nothing to report, except that the galley survived a turn and continue cost us support :)

650AD - Galley survives another turn, only clearing waters.

660AD - Moscow barracks -> market
Rostov barracks -> harbor

I give wines and 76g to Ghandi for his incense.

Can you believe it, that galley is unsinkable?

Silks are hooked up, luxtax zero and we research at 70%, Chem in 6t.

With one turn left on the gpt-deals, I turn up research to 80%, Chem in 4t at -38 with 42 in the bank.

680AD - Germany starts Bach.

Hmm, we can trade with Germany. Since gold is what we want to keep up research, I give them wines for 7gpt and 22g.

690AD - Nothing.

700AD - India completes Sistine in Delhi.

Chemistry is due next turn, we might as well try to get something for it.
Germany got some luxes for sale if we are interested and they haven't hooked up their saltpeter yet, so there should be possibilities.

As far as what the human was doing, everything seems in order. India is a cultural monster and I would have preferred we tried to clip her a little, even before MT, but that’s fine. Just hope we avoid flips.

IBT: Germans are building Smith’s and finish Magellan’s

T4: 740AD nada

IBT: Celts complete Leo’s, Aztec’s cascade to Copernicus’ which they will need as they are a 5cc.

T5: 750AD Switch Istanbul to a granary to it can get to size 12 quicker.

T6: 760AD Throttle back research to 80%, +51gpt.

IBT: Metal -> MT @ 100%, -14gpt. Germany won’t offer much for it. Looks like they will get it soon.
Best deal I can get is from the Celts: sell Metal for 3gpt, 51g, and Astronomy.

We probably need to start planning an offensive against Gandhi. The campaign should probably start in the west and roll clockwise.

calcutta, dehli, bangadore, chittichonga, and bengal can be captured in the 1st turn of the war. that should cripple them almost immediately. we have around 15 knights iirc, and about 3 or 4 more due before MT, so we should be in good shape to launch a couple of turns after upgrades.
