Building settlers without food-bonus is always a slow process. If we only can grab those 2 luxes soon, we're sitting good. I can feel some AI settler already aiming to get there first, so do not dawdle. :)

yes, we need to take your tried and true approach :) every town must start building settlers when it's @ size 2 and can finish it just after or at the same time it reaches size 3. that would be sweet salmon and ur after the enkidu's (keeping ur at 2+ will help research). it gets tricky, though, without embassy's and good relations.

Lagash's barracks are for the SoZ, i assume, however we can do a palace prebuild as therat suggests whilst we build-up the pop, so we get it soon after math and ivory is connected. with a large pop and spt, the barracks may be able to be completed before the first AC pops out.

@rat: re: KB, he's over his time limit but it's the weekend :) maybe goz is just cutting him some slack until he's ready to take it ;)

Our wars begin now. With an Ottoman warrior just north of one of our cities, I'd expect a GA soon as well.

next tech we should research is HBR, at least we know we have horses connected already and need them urgently. we could also go for lit as the AI tends to ignore it.
do we want to join a settler to our SoZ city to speed up the wonder? or is that just too wasteful?
 
It's cheaper to build another worker or two and join them if we need it. We need to settle as fast as we can or the AI will come trampling. Ottomans are already pretty close to our northern border.

I bet a few settler-pairs are already heading for the east side of our territory, as it starts to look pretty crowded up north.

I agree on HBR.
 
Preflight check: I go thru all the towns for giggles. We really need workers and cities, but we’re at war. This really is no picnic.
I move the Elite Ekidu covering the ivory worker, to see if anyone is sneaking down the right side and I spot a Viking spear/settler pair, too late to block if I wanted.

IBT: see 2 sets of Otto warrior/archers moving towards us, nothing serious. Barb horse and warrior move towards Umma in the south

T1: 1225BC Rotate Enkidu’s over from Bad to Ur and then from Ur to Umma. I do not want to lose an almost built barracks in Umma.
Crap, a Viking archer is going to go thru our territory to take care of the barbs :( More war.

IBT: Otto’s go barb hunting instead of Enkidu hunting; Barbs in the south head for the empty Bad-tiberia; Vikings don't enter :)

so many days not even a got it, Sir bugsy is up in a lot of games I think....am so free this afternoon (in about 5 hours) :) , if Gozpel says go, i go ahead and play :mischief:
 
My SG's are very casual during the holidays, so there's no stress at all and if someone wants to take a save, please do so.

Roster can be changed and mended after New Years. I for one won't have much time to play, if any time at all.
