Pre-turn - I move some stuff around. We must get that iron so we can start rails, we are completely locked down without it. I understand that stealing is also important to get us somewhere, but we can't fight Ottomans with catapults and trebs.
So I will take a chance and upgrade our stone-throwers to better stuff, very expensive, but against infantries and TOW's we need that. It will take 2-3k of gold to upgrade what I want and that equals 2 steal immediate attempts. I bet we can get something from a peacedeal if I succeed. Ottomans only have 8 cities, so if we can take/raze a couple, they will be willing to talk soon enough.
The team can prepare tar and feathers if I make a mess of this.

1580AD - A dozen bombers hit IT, killing units and pop. They don't need to invade, their bombers will do the job for them

Some 35-40 Scandinavian units show up.
AC-army goes 4/16 killing 2 TOW's.
Other AC-army goes 7/17 killing TOW and marine.
1590AD - Major bombing empty towns and civil disorder in a couple of towns makes this game even more fun.
Russia land 6 units near Sweet Salmon. It takes everything we have close to get rid of them, I even attack with EW's. lost 5 or 6 units there.
All I can do is to bombard the stack. Lose army and elite rifle to 1hp infantry

Turn off animations to make this less painful.
1595AD - Kill 5 vikings, lose a LB.
Our people are unhappy, probably because of the lost units and we need luxtax.
1600AD - Our bombardment isn't too good, but I manage to get down a smaller stack of 8 units to 1hp. The huge stack of 24 units seem untouchable.
Kill 7 units, lose 2 inf's.

1605AD - Babs wants to renew a luxdeal, I don't know how long we let them pay 2gpt for that.
Change deals to Steel and alliance against Viking for 3 luxes and 116gpt. We have nothing to lose.

Bombard stack of 5 TOW's sitting on our rubber, army and 3 LB's kill them.

Lost our valiant LB's IT and defend and kill 2 TOW's.
Kill 8 TOW's and 2 inf's, the artillery is paying off. Lost 3 units.
A stack of 13 enemies are bombarded, not enough to have a go though.
1615AD - Lose 2 inf's and LB IT.
Kill 15 enemies, lose 3. Nothing left. Fail to plant spy with Vikings.
1620AD - Ottomans and Russia ally against Babylon.
Vikings land 6 units near Sweet Salmon. Can only throw stuff at them right now.
Kill 2 TOW's and the first tank vikings sent to us.
1625AD - Lost 2 inf's to 2hp TOW's, kill one.

We still don't have any iron, hopefully next player can gather enough forces to give Osman a go. At least arties did their job and we killed off a fair bunch of vikings. I really thought it was game over there, but somehow we're still alive.
