Preturn: Minor changes. Added some more transports. I like armies and Artillery.
Used Shift D to clean up any damage and Shift W because I could.
I use the rest of the already built airports to send over more infantry.
IBT: Lots of Cav attack our airport. Russia eliminates France for us.
We build a worker. Very funny. Actually I am guessing it is because the city is Kazan and we don't want it to flip rather than a worker shortage.
1788 AD: Raze New Tatung (on the Japananize island)
Check out the damage and every single Infantry is injured.
Use our Cavalry to kill some of their Cavalry and get a leader. I send it over to become an army but won't yet fill it.
Iroquois lost 32 Cavalry so far with 34 to go.
Steal the Iroquois world map to be able to have an up to date picture (at least momentarily) of where they can reach.
Take an Indian city (will probably disband) and raze another. They still have 4 left in the South Pacific.
Take a German city (Hanover) off our coast that will allow our borders to expand.
Bombers are going to go in places that make taking islands easier as well as to the Americas.
More units moved over. We have 100 but that includes some workers.
IBT: Still many Iroquois attacks - mostly still by cavalry.
1790 AD: Clean up attacking units. Some I can't get to due to too many Infantry. Some attacks on cities but none fall.
Rushed some transports. I will take over several cavalry
Tried a steal of Sanitation (mostly because Battlefield Med would be nice) carefully but it fails (from India who is almost dead).
IBT: Here come Aztec Cavalry. They don't reach us though so no attacks from them. Some more attack from Iroquois
1792 AD: Kill the Aztec Cavalry using ours with some loses. Kill a settler nearby from Russia. Kill some more Iroquois.
I may be able to try to advance fairly soon. This turn they did not get past the infantry armies (to attack the actual infantry) - we have 2 on the stack now.
New Chinan (Chinese city on Japanese island) is destroyed.
Get another Leader. We will now have 3 armies ready for Tanks next turn.
We will have 11 transports meeting at Grenoble (west Africa) to carry units across - Armies and Artillery for the most part.
1794 AD: Another Chinese city. Also a Russian one in North Europe/Asia Islands.
IBT: We get 12 tanks after we switch builds. That is enough for the 3 Armies. These will be formed next turn
Our Infantry Armies keep healing and the "Hordes of Iroquois Infantry" retreat - they do this for the second time.
1796 AD: Form Armies. Another island is now ours in the North. Kill another Chinese City. Get a leader for a 4th Tank Army (we got 3 leaders and built 1 Army by hand).
Built a town at our foothold. Maybe the Infantry will go for that...
1798 AD: Japan is now free of incursions. Send our four Tank Armies off with the Cavalry to start taking cities.
BTW we have built 16 tanks a turn average over the last 3 turns (48 already) It shows the power of our choice of communism + Hoover and its why I wanted to go for it.
IBT: Iroquois are starting to get a Destroyer/Battleship presence along our west coast. We still have more though and are making more as we can. Number of Frigates is definitely reduced. We have killed many of them.
1800 AD: Take out a Russian city in the Americas. Our first over there (during my turns). Raze new Oka our first Iroquois city.
Our attack in the Iroquois core is 4 turns from the Eastern coast.
Destroy the Current Chinese Capitol in the SW Pacific.
We have built our 5th Tank army which is going to be transported across. It may be the last transportation as I suspect it will be sunk.
IBT: We get attacked by Iroquois Infantry. Our Infantry Army is injured a bit more than half. Not everyone attacks - some pillage and some go on to another hill.
1802 AD: Destroy a Mongol city for a chunk of change. We need it too having been running down our money with fewer pricey cities to Raze.
Start lining up attacks on next cities. Progress will be slow until we break out of the forested Tundra up north.
IBT: Less Boats I think we are winning the boat war.
1804 AD: Capture Omsk from Russia in the Americas (northmost city nearby). I have 94 Iroquois Infantry 'trapped' in our lands (They could cut there way out if they decide to attack). The city is next to them and ready to absorb their attack.
Working on moving to new islands to conquer. Its slow going. Need more transports I think.
1806 AD: Raze Chickonalauta (next Iroquois city). Land next to Boston on the other coast with 13 Armies (no Tank unfortunately) and 25 other units.
Destroy Chinese city on the latest island.
Notes:
My turns were mostly setup and burning through the Iroquois and Aztec units. The real action will be start soon.
We have about 6 Tank Armies - all in the Alaskan area - progress in Alaska will remain slow due to the treed tundra.
I JUST landed our attack force next to Boston. Next player gets to play with 13 armies + other units. There is a big stack of Infantry next to the capitol. My thought was to build an Airport (after we get a worker from a razed city) and then send over all those infantry for defense (of anything we want to defend).
Other spare units (armies not yet over, settlers, etc) are near the capitol.
Some workers are automated (not all). Some are chopping down all the trees (gets shields into tundra towns and we can build mines). Others were not automated (I was building roads manually. I noticed some towns could use adjusting (too much food for example), but this is optional as our current production is very adequate.
Iroquois are down to 275 infantry and 12 Cavalry. 95 or so Infantry are trapped next to our city in America (Fort Foothold). I am unsure if the Iroquois have Battlefield Med. It occurred to me that if they are healing, we don't have enough artillery to really damage them. Maybe we have to let them go? Or bombard some and let those retreat? Not sure. I was hoping they would attack our town. Maybe if we moved out one of the Infantry armies?
Slogging through the South Pacific and all the islands is a slow process - Note that Mongol towns are big money (they have 13K).
AI has flight (no Mass Production or Atomic Theory last I checked)
Big Boat battle is near England. Iroquois are now sending advanced ships - I have been working fulltime (most coastal towns) on Battleships, but am now building more transports to get much of the artillery and remaining armies off to being useful.
Some armies are trapped on islands.
Eastern Shores is making Regular Battleships. Build a Harbor after current one finishes (too many shields to switch when I noticed) - I queued it up so it will come up as the next suggestion when the battleship completes. Hmm... Fort Iron too. I did the same thing.
I think we will have plenty of transports after the current batch finish. We may even have enough boats. We could start switching to bombers or tanks after each boat completes. I think we are close to sea superiority. We do have a lot of boatage.
I replaced some of the Tundra towns with towns that had food and might go somewhere.
Some new towns are building Courthouses and Temples. At this point it might be better to just switch to military.
I just turned animate battles back on so the next player can see where the action is. The IBT was definitely faster with it off during my turns with 30-50 units attacking our city in America - however, the number of attacks seems down and it might be fine to leave it on.
No progress yet in the Iceland Greenland area mostly due to the large number of enemy boats near England keeping us busy and shipping our attack on the Iroquois core
I went through and tried to wake up units that might be important. It is possible I missed some (in fact I did the same on my first turn, but did miss several that I just found now).
This is our attack in Alaskan Area:
This is our landing next to Boston. Those are some big cities.
This is our progress in the south pacific. Note that I missed left an island empty. Probably should be fixed.
