1818 (0): Our ferry service across the Bering Strait isn't very efficient. I found Bering Arms to improve the situation.

One of our tanks defeats the attack of an Iroquois cav (1-0).


1820 (1): We found Hard Road to Travel to bring Oka within artillery range.

We raze Oka, held by four inf, and gain 208 gold, six workers, and two artillery (5-0).

We raze Los Angeles, held by an inf, two riflemen, and a cav (9-0). We gain three gold and four workers.

We raze Owego, held by two inf, and gain 104 gold (11-0).

We capture San Diego, held by two inf and a cav, and gain 105 gold (14-0).

We raze Kawauka, held by two inf and a cav (17-0). We gain 107 gold, three artillery, and two slaves.

We found Sooner or Later to gain access to Kiohero.

We raze Kiohero, held by two inf, and gain 108 gold (19-0).

We found Another Cycle to gain access to Skannayutenate.

We raze Skan, held by two inf, and gain 110 gold (21-0).

We found The Harder They Come to give us access to two Ir towns next turn.

Outside cities on the northern front we destroy twenty assorted enemy units, generating one Great Leader/army (41-0).

We take New Anyang in the Philippines, held by an inf, a guerrilla, and two riflemen, and sink a frigate on the way in (45-0).

At sea we sink twelve assorted enemy ships (57-0).

I lumberjack up transports in five of our Southeast Asian ports, which takes forever, but should speed up our island-hopping campaign towards Australia.

We mop up three Chinese units landed on Borneo, generating another GL/army (60-0).

On the Atlantic front we obliterate seven American units outside cities, and auto-raze Albuquerque, held by two inf (69-0). We gain a third GL, on three consecutive elite victories. Unfortunately there's nothing for this one to do, since he can't be airlifted and we don't have a city in the area.

The AI makes an unusual number of attacks in North America, probably because I put a wall of infantry right across Canada and it had no other options. We defeat twelve attackers without loss, and retreat about ten enemy cav (81-0). We lose a battleship to a destroyer, though (81-1).


1822 (2): We found Friday Night Jamboree to gain access to Kente.

We take Kente, held by six inf and a cav, and collect 541 gold (88-1). We capture two slaves and an artillery unit.

We take St. Regis, held by four inf, and seize 541 gold (92-1). We capture an artillery.

We raze Gandasetaigon, held by three inf, and seize 510 gold (95-1).

We raze New Salamanca, held by two inf and four cav, at the cost of a tank (101-2). We seize 273 gold.

We take New Kahnawake, held by two inf and a guerrilla, for the loss of a tank (104-3). We gain 416 gold.

We raze St. Louis, held by three inf and a cav, though it costs us two tanks (108-5). We steal 420 gold.

We sink nine Iroquois ships, including two transports, in the North Atlantic (117-5).

We abandon St. Regis, then found Herb Man next to the ruins to gain access to Centralia.

We raze Centralia, held by four inf and a cav (122-5). We seize 565 gold and capture an artillery.

We fail to plant a spy in Australia.

We abandon New Kahnawake and found Bongo Man, to give us access to New Mauch Chunk.

We raze New Mauch Chunk, held by three inf, and seize 423 gold (125-5).

We found Footprints as a forward bomber base in Canada.

Outside cities in Canada we smite three enemy units (128-5). There are a fair number of enemy inf units milling harmlessly around, but I don't see much point in attacking them with tanks, in bad terrain, when we're out of artillery and bomber support.

I get some workers onto Elephantine's island. We weren't exactly prompt about this. :nono: ;)

We sink another four enemy ships here and there (132-5).

Twenty-two elite victories this round produced three Great Leaders.
 
We haven't had much hitting power on our second (eastern) front in North America, but we'll unite the fronts in a turn or two. After that, since we'll also be out of the bad terrain, our progress should be explosive.

We have settlers in place to set up attacks on Tyendenaga and Oil Springs next turn, both covered by inf armies. We still have a lot of uncommitted tanks in Canada, and you can move them into enemy territory if you prefer, though with settler tricks prepared I think it's needless.

We have two settlers in Fort Foothold, and eight next to the capital.

Don't forget that we have a Leader on our airfield in eastern America. One way or another he'll be able to found an army next turn.

We're only holding Kente for tactical purposes. We should sell the improvements and replace it next turn.

We didn't take many cities on the Southeast Asian islands this round, because without ports embarking, landing, and attacking is a three-turn process, and I only played two turns. :lol: But we're in position to take four island cities next turn.

We have an empty army in the Philippines next to Shanghai 2, which we can fill before attacking next turn.

We have a stack of 120 unemployed workers next to the capital.

I've left a few units with their movement to draw attention to them.

PRE:
Not sure what the stack of transports was up to so I sent them back to the mainland to get another load. It looks like they had dropped off units recently.

Took a couple of dozen workers and spread them around to remove a bit more of the shaodws. They will either road or rail or park, eventually all will just park where they are.

Flip a few towns off of very long builds to wealth. I can't see making 60 to 90 turn tranports at this point.

IBT:
A bomber hits one of the cav armies. A few arties fire on units next to cities. A crusier sinks one of our battleships. Two cavs died attacking a town and a bunch of infantry cut roads.

Some tranports finish and I elect to not make more 100 items in them either. Same for a couple of settlers build where the towns are now size 1.

1824:
Thebes may as well start Seti as we can make do without an extra tank.
Attack Cattarugus after a mediocore arty bombardment. Tanks kill 4 infantry and a cav and capture 504g and an arty. (5-0) I sell off all but the barracks.

BB sinks Aussie frigate (6-0). Put 2 tanks in empty army (Tank-49th) and kill infantry in Shanghai2 (7-0). Leader forms 50th in Catta.... filled now.

5/5 tanks kills redlined US infantry and 4/4 does same and captures settler (9-0).
Found New Tanis and I had already found New El-Ash near Oil Springs.

Send a couple tanks out via airfields to islands that had no defense. Not sure what is going on, but just in case the AI tries to sneak in a settler combo or barbs pop up.

20th kills flak and cav to capture the town and 409g. It has a harbor and I start temple via CE. Will leave a tank to cover the island. (18-0)
2nd kills Chinese inf, 4/4 tank kills one and 4/5* tanks kills guerilla and autorazes Xinjing2 (21-0). Captured a settler inside.
Sink 3 Aussie ships (24-0), lost a DD (24-1). Bomb and sink the 4th ship.
Bombers kill 5 units in Canton2 and it is empty. Landed troops next to it for next turn.

Ok, got even looser and use 5/5 tank to kill US redline inf and then used it 3/5 having a guerilla ping it to 2/5, but it won and got a leader (60-4).
Ok have some 5/5 cavs doing little so I send them after the stack of redlined US inf and guerilla and get another leader. Cannot make any more armies, so I rush the temple in New Buhen (61-4).
Use 2 5/5* cavs to finsih off the last 2 guerillas in the stack (63-4).
51st kills 2 US inf (65-4).
I should have disband some of those old sword armies, but I did not think of it in time.
 
IBT:
Looks like we should spend some cash upgrading infantry as 14 cavs/inf came out and attacked some of the towns and standing inf. Lost one infantry sitting on a stack of workers, but the workers did not go far. They nearly punched through the line, so I will swap out some inf for mechs and start upgrading.

It is nuts to sit on all this cash and risk them breaking through all the open land.
I may have missed some of the action, best as I could tell it was 3 retreating cavs, 11 dead attackers and we lost the one inf.

I am closing down those town that are finishing a ship as we do not need more at this point. We have airfields for everything, except armies/settlers and arties. I do not see any reason to be making arties on the mainland any longer anyway. We can shuttle settler and such in one turn from Bering Arms.

Looks like there are no more than 300 units in all the other civs combined at this point.
Switched some builds to markets as we do not need more transports. I even switched a facotry to a uni, not that we need a uni, but why make a factory now? We have more than enough places cranking out tanks and such.

I freaked out in the last turn when I started seeing all the units moving around, then I finally realized this turn they were automated workers. I had not seen that in years and did not catch on right away.

Cav kills US cav and captures settler. I had the slaves build a road and left them uncovered as they will finish it and we can get them later (13-0).

Kill 3 units with arty and bombers in Tonya..., but troops cannot get inside due to the forest tiles, next turn (5-0).
Redlined units in Buffalo, but same story.
New This has a stack of workers right now.
Wow 21st drops to 2HP attacking a yellow inf (6-0).
DD sinks US frigate (7-0).

The IBT is so long I am not sure what all happened, but here is what I recall. Spy on Iroq caught doing nothing. Not replacing as I don't need it, there will be null and void soon anyway.
Swap build in places that are making bombers or tanks in more than 4 turns and make markets and libs. I would scrap those facfories after that and go to wealth. We are choking on tanks now.
A cruiser was sunk by someones cruiser and someones DD was sunk attacking our transport (1-1).
About 6 Iroq units attacks some tanks and eventually killed one (6-2). Not sure why we should even keep the stack of transports with no place to go in time to matter, but they are heading toward the coast near the Auusie islands for now. By the time they get there most of those islands will be ours.

I presumed the reason we learned Rocketry was to find Alum and hence I took Ecology for modern armor. I hope that was the plan. Not really sure why we should research any more.

So I did not bother to switch the scores of taxmen over. I leave that onr the next one, if they feel it is important. Frankly we have so many tanks laying around I do not even know where they are all. They are very marginal vs Inf in metros anyway.

They can't get over the tundra forest quickly, so are not real useful on those towns either.
Bombers need two moves to get to the other contient as they do not have range enough for a straight rebase. I have been sending them to the islands around England for the first hop.

Transports near Kwinana to pick up the armies and such after the island is cleared. I have an airfield so you can send over a few tanks to keep trespassers busy.
Woomerang is empty and has units to enter next turn and lots of bombers at Helio2 to be moved or used. Well more than you could use I would guess.

Transports near Wagga Wagga to unload next turn.

There is a lone worker on an island near all the airfield that should make one to send over maybe 2 tanks to keep it clear. I forgot and moved him.

Foothold was about to riot with only 1 pop, so I make it a CE and started a temple.

5/5 kills the last know unit in our area (51-1).

I have some scatter units in the tundra that were just to let be sure that no units were behind the lines, so they can be moved. I think I have set up a new line to prevent access to the tundra over land, but you should look it over to see if I left a hole or two.

We have stacks of tanks to fill any.
As I read this I see I forgot to list the two Iroq bombers that were in Mauch Chunk or one of those places (53-1)

I started off getting leaders, but that stop after the first turn or second. Iroq are nearly gone now.
 
Lets make sure we are going to be able to clear the islands in a timely manner. It will be annoying to have long turns simply waiting for boats to get to the islands. Anywhere an island exists there should be some transport at least somewhat close. If need be add workers so we can rush a transport. RIght now we still have time as S America will take time, but I would like to finish S America and the islands at about the same time (if possible).
